Can anyone recommend - 36v/350w/135mm/Juliet/36h compact rear hub motor for 16" wheel?

There's a new tiny Bafang cassette motor that I'd love to try, but I've not seen any resellers stocking it yet. It's on the new Ebco bikes

    Battery weather tight

Or not at all in my case. I can't remember when my bike was last cleaned. I let the rain clean it. It's the same with my car, except I've recently changed my dirt coloured one for a white one, so it might show up now.

Help! Tilting trike - getting it going again (newbie questions)

Can you tell us the metric size written on the tyre next to where it's written in English? Motor speed is proportional to voltage, so 48v will give you nearly 10 mph. Invalid carriages are only allowed to go 8 mph on the road and 4 mph on the footpath, which I guess is why they used that motor.

    Will battery recharge?

Pulse charging is for lead batteries. I hate to think what one would do to a lithium battery. You're right, still no way past the mosfets in the BMS.

Can anyone recommend - 36v/350w/135mm/Juliet/36h compact rear hub motor for 16" wheel?

Q100H for free-wheel gears, Q100C for free-hub gears. You can get them from BMSbattery.com ir equivalent AKM motors from Topbikekit.com. I think Greenbikekit.com have them as well. 16" wheels come in two sizes: Chinese 305mm and Brompton 349mm. Check you bikes, wheel size if you're thinking of...

I said three bar because there are three coils (phases) heating up.

    Will battery recharge?

The BMS doesn't work like that. When any cell drops below 2.5v, the mosfets are shut, so no way through for any charger. The only way to charge in that case is behind the BMS, which would require a separate charge port or the battery would have to be opened.

Is it a bad idea to order an E-bike from another country?

The other change that affected weight was the cheaper aluminium frames for the lower cost GS and GX versions. Magnesium was used for the previous G2 and G3 versions and still is used on the latest G3C, but the main frame spine has been changed to carbon composite. The whole bike weighs 14.9kg. I...

When you're heavy, it's torque that you need, not power. Power =torque x speed. Those 1000w motors make their maximum power at high speed with low torque. Those 1000w motors have low efficiency at low speed, so if you put 1000w in at 5mph, you'd be lucky to get 250w of output motive power. The...

Is it a bad idea to order an E-bike from another country?

The GX version is indeed a folder. It came into production about 2 years ago.

    Motor sizing ?

36v 250w doesn't mean anything. there are some 250w motors that are heavy brutes when it comes to power, like the Bafang BPM, which is a real workhouse. A 328 rpm version wouldn't have any problem powering a hybrid type bike, but you'd need at least a 20 amp controller for it and a 25 amp...

    Help! Throttle problem electric bike

If you reverse connect the controller, you blow it. If you're lucky, you might just blow a track on the PCB, which might be repairable. The pedal assist wouldn't work if that's the case. FYI, you get a big spark when you connect it the right way too due to the capacitor inrush. Did you...

Is it a bad idea to order an E-bike from another country?

The Gocycle was designed from the ground upwards by highly reputed and experienced British designers. Not a single bicycle part was used except maybe the tyres, seat and brake levers. The result is a masterpiece of engineering. You should try one. If you buy one, before handing over cash, make...

Help needed - LCD display shows zero battery and no speed when pedalling

I just read your post again. Are you saying that the number goes up and down from 0 to 5 when you press the up and down buttons? If they do, that's a good sign, and could be a data wire disconnected, though I think it gets the battery charge state from inside the LCD, so blank battery display...

Help needed - LCD display shows zero battery and no speed when pedalling

It's probably got/had water in it and needs replacing. All the wires are near to each other inside, so when you get water in it, it shorts one of the two battery wires to one of the two data wires and wipes or corrupts the software in the CPU. That can also happen when the wires get pulled too...

That'll be OK. You might have to flip the disc or swap wires, though. Test it's operation before you reassemble the pedal to save a lot of work.

    First ebike conversion.

If it's 36v, it's a 30 cell battery, which means 25 amps per 3 cells, which is 8 amps per cell.

I forgot to add that the Woosh SWX02 48v kit will meet your requirements for torque and power if you don't want to buy from China. Bear in mind what I said above about free-wheel motors.
