    Battery weather tight

When I commuted, I used to use a cape. Yes, you get blown around a bit when it's windy, but it's manageable and at least you and your bike stay dry and comfortable. Before the cape, I tried just about every other type of waterproof. Considering everything, I think the cape is the best solution...

    Motor sizing ?

You have to understand the implications for efficiency and current. When you put a a 20" (328 rpm) motor in a 700C wheel, it will draw maximum current nearly all the time it's below 20 mph, which will overheat your controller. If you fitted the motor to a road bike and were able to cruise at...

Help! PAS Not Working Now - Help Please!

That won't be it then. Sometimes Chinese use Yellow as ground and sometimes blue - the same with the signal wires. If it worked before, the colours must be right. Can we see a photo of the pedal sensor?

    First ebike conversion.

I can't see that battery lasting long unless you avoid riding on full power, though something isn't clear. The 500w BBS02 is 48v. There's no way to accommodate 48v in the 240mm case, as only 20 cells can fit. You can get 30 in your longer case, but if 48v, it will be 26 (13S2P). Unless you have...

Try swapping the blue and yellow wires.

    looking for a conversion

At 21 stone, most of the off-the-shelf kits are going to be inadequate. That includes the 1000w ones. I'd be looking at a relatively slow 48v motor. Ideally, you want something like a 250 rpm 48v rear motor, a 20 amp controller and a battery capable of 25 amps. I'd be looking at a steel...

    Help! Throttle problem electric bike

The guy at the end of this thread had the same problem, and found that the throttle's hall sensor had slipped out of its slot. https://www.pedelecs.co.uk/forum/threads/fiido-d2-wiring-diagram.35598/ Voltage measurements on the 4 throttle wires will tell you what's wrong.

    Help! Throttle problem electric bike

That doesn't sound good. It can probably be fixed with a new throttle, but I'd want to do some tests first. Do you have a voltmeter? Don't buy anything unless you test first.

    Help! Throttle problem electric bike

You have a very well-known problem with your bike. It's called "water where you shouldn't oughta". Leave it somewhere warm and dry. Hopefully, it'll sort itself out. As you have battery voltage for your display, there is a slight possibility that a short could have wiped out the throttle, but...

One for the battery experts- new pack - strange problem- Any advice?

Your nuts if you listen to either of those two. Do the tests and you'll know what's wrong.

That speedometer will work. All the sensors work the same. That's the only bit you need. Full-width throttles are very hard to open. All throttles come apart the same way. You remove then from the handlebars, then look inside. There are normally three barbs that lock in when the throttle parts...

KT-LCD3 / display or speed sensor problem?

I'm confused now. You say, "still zero assistance", but you had some assistance before? Did you put the magnet disc on upside down? Does it work backwards? Which type of PAS is it? Do the wire sequences match? Why did you change it when there was nothing wrong with it?

    17mph only 500w wheel

It sounds like you haven't installed the pedal sensor correctly, explained in your other thread. https://www.pedelecs.co.uk/forum/threads/2nd-time-here.36165/ You have to test the speed restriction with the wheel in the air to see if it makes a difference. The question is whether the controller...

    2nd time here

You're not missing much. It'll only give full power when you pedal, which can be a bit of a nuisance. Some sensors are handed. They only work if they're on the correct side of the bike. You can test that. Remove the pedal arm and try both directions of rotation, then flip the disc and try both...

    Will battery recharge?

How many times do I have to tell you not to take stuff out of context from the internet and paste it here, when you don't understand its relevance. Again you're just confusing things. Some of us work with batteries nearly every day, and we know how they work. You don't need to try and educate...

Is that with the wheel off the ground or riding on the road up a hill with a heavyweight rider onboard? Is it with the pedal sensor, throttle or both?

Cheapest solution. Cut the sensor off this. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Bike-Odometer-Speed-Waterproof-Meter-Bicycle-Cycling-LCD-Computer-Speedometer/293082815837?hash=item443d18dd5d:m:moTRhI257fhwgTeDHfJRqpQ Proper Ebike sensor has longer and more robust cable. Cut the connector off. red to red...
