How to tell if it is the controller, battery or motor that gave up?

For your battery, try an independent voltage source to see if any changes of voltage occur. Rig up a temporary source to monitor on a ride or on a static test, for a static test have the motor wheel off the ground and apply brake pressure quite firmly (but still able to rotate) to simulate...

How to tell if it is the controller, battery or motor that gave up?

The phase tests are best done using the 200k resistance setting, normally measuring Black wire to phases should show a healthy 9 -10k range but as long as all three are near the same then that side of the fets is fine. The Red wire test to phases can give a different result depending on the...

Will a KT controller be compatible with my hub-drive bike?

From what I see the Op has done a proper job and somehow completely ripped the Bafang double hall six wire PAS out of the controller, there is a gaping hole in the exit white grommet where the wire should be located. However in his own way has decided by the sounds of it to keep buying stuff...

Will a KT controller be compatible with my hub-drive bike?

A fools choice that can get expensive.

Will a KT controller be compatible with my hub-drive bike?

Probably not so, from what I can barely see I have seen at least two solder points where a wire was connected. Between the White & Blue at least one wire likely white was soldered (one can see the broken soldered strands ) if the two share the same track then that is one.

    Yose kit on road bikes

Topbikekit sell the 22a S09s in Julet W/P form on page two of the controllers or one can buy from various sellers on AilExp. One can also use the SO6s in 17 or 20a versions though heat may be an issue depending on the riding/terrain, I use a S06s on my town/errand bike with no issues, it is...

Will a KT controller be compatible with my hub-drive bike?

Ah I see, you did a proper number on ripping it out. With so much of the board covered it's not possible to see. Some where there should be the remains of two broken short tails, one white and one lilac/mauve.

Scheme to take control of ebikes in urban areas

Nearly all the deaths being reported are for male over 65's, most accidents I believe are caused by off's and not collisions. I expect even if they were push bikes deaths would still occur even at relatively the same speed.

Will a KT controller be compatible with my hub-drive bike?

Bafang and KT's aren't compatible not only software/programming wise but also connection wise. With moulded connectors Bafang use Higo connections and KT Julet, they look very similar and may be coloured like wise but the pin outs wire sequence is differently so not std. If changing controller...

    Yose kit on road bikes

The Yose controller is now said to be a Lishui speed controller by others who have bought the since the change over from KT, the speed controller will give less range then the more frugal KT current control controllers.

    newbie questions for ebike build

One can use a battery of any capacity (ah/wh), all extra ah/wh does is increase possible range and keep the power/voltage higher for a little longer (as well as being heavier). Just buy the correct voltage. 12s isn't common for Li-on so stick with 13s unless you are self building. Best LCD from...

    Yose kit on road bikes

12.5ah is good for 40km/25miles and a bit more in low power setting. I use to get about 60km from my 11a and about 70 from my 13ah ones using 5a Samsung(22F&26F )cells, however they did both lose capacity within two years. If one is able to source one a 14.5ah battery using Samsung 29E's would...

Help! Cyclotricity front hub disk screws foul fork blade

Removing the spacer and screws will work but as VFR has said if you can see the motor turning via the screw holes then seal them up. The easy way to tell if the holes are blind or not is to use a longer threaded M5 screw tightened up, if holes are blind hub will rotate if they aren't the screw...

How to tell if it is the controller, battery or motor that gave up?

Use the simple how too mosfet test I posted in your other thread, if one gets a failed fet result a new controller will be needed.
