    Yosepower hub kits.

Many throttles have a special spacer/washer type thing that stops anything interfering with its operation to make it stiff. Nearly all DIYers don't notice it or understand what it's for so they don't install it. Do you guys with stiff throttles have it installed? It's like a ring with...

Bafang conversion kit : Recovery from over-speed is slow

Disconnect the speed sensor. It probably won't release the speed limit, but it should solve your problem and make the motor spin whenever you pedal.

It might be because he has another thread running on the same issue, where people have answered.

Electric Lights - connected to VLCD 5 ontroller or direct to battery

They used to be 1A, now they're 2A. USB sockets have a current rating. It's different for each type, but that's not the only factor to determine which lights you can use. The USB sockets in ebikes are basically a dc/dc step down converter. It's the spec of the components that determine the...

    Yosepower hub kits.

Do you wear a crash helmet when you go out for a walk in case something drops on your head? I broke a throttle once, so it went to permanent half-throttle. I was able to ride home by controlling the motor with the brake switches. When I was sitting on the beach at Lulworth Cove, a rock fell off...

    Help! Stretching dropout s

Steel is easy. Aluminium is a bit harder, especially on frames for 20" wheels, but still can be done. Two planks of wood shoved in and pulled apart normally does the job. You have to go about twice as far as you need, then let it spring back.

    Freego Folder

It's very unlikely that anything is wrong with the controller if it works with the throttle. heck out the pedal sensor as above. If that's not it, tell us whether you have an LED or LCD control panel. A photo will help.

    Still doing my head in

The reason is that you have a speed control controller, not a power control one. You get the same power on every level, but you should see a different maximum speed on each level when using the pedal sensor. The throttle always works as a speed controller that gives a speed depending on the...

    Yosepower hub kits.

You don't need brake sensors with the Yose Power kit, so forget about them. If when riding your bike some time in the future, you feel that you wish you had brake sensors, that's the time to figure out what to do, but I doubt that that time will come.

Compatability of aikema motor with kunteng controller

Your pedal sensor is unusual. If you want to use a standard controller, you will need to use a standard magnet disc pedal sensor, but there isn't enough room to install one on your crank. That means that you must either replace your complete crank-set and bottom bracket or modify the pedal...

    Carrera crossfire/vulcan tuning

Here you can see how the torque sensor works. The controller gives power when the teeth move through the sensor. The amount of power is determined by the gap between the teeth, which is smaller when you press hard on the pedal. The teeth are on two pieces. One set is attached to the chainwheel...

Bike for Mum, must be step through and have hub gears

That Sundowner is a very comfortable and powerful bike. You hardly need to pedal it, even up hills as long as they're not too steep. I'm sure that your dad will be happy with it. I agree that it's probably too big for your mum. at only 50kg, any of the Woosh bikes will easily be powerful enough...

Charging problem - Raleigh Array - Suntour battery and motor

Ah yes, I can see that they've changed it. The Vengeance E used to have a conventional LED control panel and magnet disc pedal sensor, but now they have the Suntour stuff. That's a shame!

    Help! Controller for AKM75 motor

15A should be OK as you have 24" wheels as long as the motor isn't the high-speed (328rpm) version. If the motor runs rough or has a rough band, experiment with different P01 settings. Start with 160, which is the value that fixed mine.

Help! Lcd setting issues for s830 screen

The 2-pin connector with brown and yellow wires is for low powered lights, probably at battery level - basically, a switched low power battery supply. Nearly all LCDs work the same with the same 5 wires connected in the same way. Many share the same communication protocol, but the LCD and...

    Changed Commute - Super Soco?

Excellent review, and nicely made video. Thanks a lot. I hope you keep us informed on how you get on in the future. The cat is a real star. I love his face when he's sitting on the drive facing the camera. I'm still jealous.

Electric Lights - connected to VLCD 5 ontroller or direct to battery

Can you give examples of which ones that can provide that much current and which ones can't. It would be a shame is somebody plugged a 4 amp light into their 500mA USB and smoked their battery.

Charging problem - Raleigh Array - Suntour battery and motor

The Vengeance has standard Chinese electrics, so is easy to fix and change. I don't know about the Raleigh, but it doesn't look standard, so you'll probably be in the hands of the dealer for fixing. That's no problem while under guarantee, but can be very problematic in a couple of years time.

Help! Lcd setting issues for s830 screen

I'd look for a short in the cable between the controller and the LCD. Check the cable along its entire length, especially where it comes out of the LCD, goes round any tight corners or is zip-tied too tight. Next, have a good look at the connectors to make sure everything is in order.
