    Disregarding UK pedelec laws

and if an asteroid the size of a football crashed into his back garden, he'd be dead, and if he walked into the road texting on his phone and a 20 ton truck comes by, he'd also be dead. Let's see how many more ways we can invent to die. BTW, I don't believe for one minute that the tyre was...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

I'm not in any way disappointed in what that poll shows. Why should I be? I don't understand what you're getting at.

Erik Buell’s new Fuell Fluid electric bicycle with 200 km range

How many miles has it done with the 8 speed Alfine? How often do you use the 25amps? The Alfine is fine with a Bosch if you keep it on eco mode!

    29x2.2 low rolling resistance tyres

To reduce resistance, I'd be looking at a much narrower tyre. You don't hae to fit the same width as before.

    Ebike battery

It'll probably be cheaper to buy one from Ebay. Do a search for "24v silver fish battery". There were loads of them last time I looked, both 10Ah and 15Ah. Somebody asked the same question about a week or two ago. If you search back, I put a lot more info in the reply.

Erik Buell’s new Fuell Fluid electric bicycle with 200 km range

I thought an Alfine 8 speed wasn't strong enough for a Bosch Active line. How on Earth will it survive 100Nm? It doesn't add up.

    E-bike questions

I keep telling you. Nobody cares, the police are too busy hunting people on Twitter that call a woman a man because she/he/it has a penis and people that train their dogs to do nazi salutes. they're not even investigating burglaries anymore, so it'll be a long time before they ever get onto...

    Disregarding UK pedelec laws

You could be struck by lightning as you get your bike out of the shed/garage. Which do you think is most likely? I'll tell you. 58 people have been struck by lightning in the last 30 years. none have had the book thrown at them for riding an illegal electric bicycle.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

George Galloway on RT, "The whole EU supra-national global capitalist project is in, I think, fatal terminal decline, and it will be shown in spades in the European parliamentary elections at the end of May." That's what I've been saying. That's at least two of us now. Any more?

New to pedelecs and need advice on what sort of bike I should get

You need to think about security. It would be a shame if it wasn't there when you came home from work. You need to make sure you have that covered before thinking about which bike.

The joys of throttled ebikes/scooters in Spain! Come on England get with the times!

I couldn't agree more. We'd have cargo versions for shopping, two-seaters for taking the kid to school and all the other possibilities. The sooner the better.

    Disregarding UK pedelec laws

One kills people, the other doesn't. That seems like a pretty big difference to me. Speeding on a motorbike kills some people, but not as many as cars, so if you want an order of preference. 1. Speeding on an electric bike 2. Speeding on a motorbike 3. Speeding in a car 4. Speeding in a truck or...

    Disregarding UK pedelec laws

You can't equate riding an illegal electric bike with motoring offences like drunk driving or speeding. Loads of peopke are killed when people commit those driving offences, but there isn't a single case on record of someone being kilked by an illegal electric bike in this country.

Many people have full-range throttles. Nobody cares. If you get a KT controller, you can switch between legal 4 mph throttle and full range (for private land riding) with a few presses of the buttons on the LCD, so if you were unfortunate enough to have an accident on the private land, you...
