    Furo X

Take a brand like Juicy that's relatively well known and established for more than a decade. Ask yourself how another brand that's hardly been heard of and with a very limited product range can get the same number of reviews as Juicy in less than a year. There are various websites that can...

CycloTricity Stealth 48V/1000W problem - battery or motor?

Change the parameter P5 to 0 or 1 to get instant showing of voltage on the display. If you have it on the normal high number, like 15, it shows a moving average with a longer time constant. 15V is normal when the battery is switched off by the BMS. It's not real voltage. Its just a bit of...

Fake Trustpilot reviews. Ask yourself why a company needs to do that! Regardless of whether a company's products are good or bad, if they cheat in some areas, they'll probably cheat you in others.

    Bms replacement

The sparks you get from the charger are perfectly normal and not likely to damage anything. When you say "fried", where are the burnt components? Can I suggest that you start from the beginning and explain what the problem is, then perhaps we can help. In the meantime, you might want to check...

    BBS02 ERROR CODE 30 - help needed

It depends which version you have. The later ones have a sealed controller compartment, where the only issue is that water can get in where the cables come into it. Theearlier version without the sealed compartment is going to be a problem if you ride in heavy rain and/or salty winter roads...

    Batteries in parallel

It sounds like you've never put batteries in parallel yourself. It's absolutely impossible for two thick conductors joined together to have a voltage difference at the joint. You have to separate them to get a different voltage in each.

    Advice for 20" hubs.

As already said a couple of times, it depends on whether you have a disc brake and how many gears you have on the freewheel.

Help testing and figuring out the wiring for this slightly weird BBS01

That's normal, the same as a Bosch CX. It's free when you freewheel.

    How Light do you ride.

Yes, I had one of those, but the coastguard helicopter guys got a bit fed up after the third time they had to rescue me from Bread and Cheese Hill and take me and my bike back to Basildon when I got a puncture.

    Advice for 20" hubs.

That's right, though there is some cyclic stress as you pedal from side to side and go over bumps, but it's insignificant, otherwise all bike frames would break. The stress from a 5mm spring is completely insignificant compared with the stress from sitting on the bike and riding it. I've taken...

    Batteries in parallel

I agree with everything but the last sentence. if two batteries are connected in parallel, you can't have different voltages on the terminals.

    Batteries in parallel

Yes, that's OK. I mean more like Li-ion and LiFePo4 or lithium titanate. It's not that they don't work together, but it's more that you get unusual discharge curves that can catch you out.

    BBS01

With a normal bike, you have to increase your pedal speed to get more power, which you might do by changing down a couple of gears. It's similar with a car or motorbike, when you change down to get a burst of acceleration for overtaking, but with a crank-drive electric bike, you often need to...

    Batteries in parallel

They don't need to be the same capacity. Ideally, they should be of the same basic chemistry so that they have the same fully-charged and fully-discharged voltages. Two important rules: They must be approximately at the same measured voltage when you connect them; and you must disconnect them...
