The clunk is normal. It's just the clutch engaging. It clunks when the wheel is spinning fast because there's a big difference between wheel speed and motor speed when it engages.

The BmS has been changed to a Chinese one, so you're OK.

The type of sensor has little to do with it. It's only because you have a speed control controller. Change your controller and the problem will go away.

Another not so obvious way to get power out of the battery is to bridge the output MOSFETs, which will keep them switched on, but it's the same as bypassing the BMS.

Are you sure it's a Bosch battery? I'm pretty sure that you can't get any power out of a Bosch one unless it's connected to a Bosch motor. If you want to replace the battery, you need either a lot of amp-hours, one with high discharge rate cells or one with both.

Those motors are more or less all the same. Why not buy one in a kit that includes a KT controller and LCD?
