    Brexit, for once some facts.

I don't like her either, but she's not mentally ill, she's doing the only thing possible to match all these requirements: 1) The public voted to Leave the EU. 2) Parliament won't accept No Deal. 3) Only one deal is on offer. Number 1 rules out cancelling Article 50, number 2 rules out No...

But if an A50 extension is granted she could still revive her deal during that and Bercow couldn't stop that, since it would be new circumstances and alternatives. .

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Theresa May said tonight that she isn't in favour of any long extension, so a request for a short one is more likely. These latest developments mean her deal isn't dead yet since she can now bring it back a third time in afew weeks, maybe with another small tweak. It's just possible it could...

On this we are in agreement, for a long time now the service intervals have been more about marketing than anything else. But on technical necessity I still disagree. .

Now the vote on th government amendment against leaving with No Deal has been passed. So now with both amendments passed it's HoC ruling out No Deal at any time. It seems inevitable that there will be a vote tomorrow in favour of an extension and a request for it. .

    Brexit, for once some facts.

House of Commons vote that No Deal is ruled out at any time by 312 votes to 308. This win for the amendment was completely unexpected and will worry both the Brexiteers in the House and surprise Theresa May. While not legally binding it is morally binding on the government and leaves the way...

The fat lady hasn't sung yet, even though the skinny one has been hoarsely squawking a lot. An extension could yet see May's deal accepted later, given that the Commons doesn't want No Deal. .

    What's happened to Kudoscycle?

No change Jim, Dave Elderfield's main company is Rally Design on the same telephone number. Here's that website: https://www.rallydesign.co.uk/ Maybe some site hacking going on, but Dave is still active in the forum as of yesterday. Ring and ask for Kudos Cycles. .

Yes we'll have to disagree since I think you are grossly overstating the case for annual servicing and not answering what I've posted. A s I've posted it's all too often a rip off. Take this case first. As you know makers share engines and the later Suzuki SX4 and Sprint Sport shared the same...

    Another battery technology forecast

It's at least four year since graphene use was first proposed, and we are still waiting. I think the claims are unrealistic, since it's only the anode using graphene instead of carbon, and graphene is carbon anyway. The theory is that graphene nanotubes in the anode make it more efficient, but...

Not really Dave. If they but knew it, over 90% of the participating electorate vote for nothing at every general election. And nothing worthwhile is what they get! .

Of course they do, but the first owner should only pay for their own ownership, not pay to keep the car new for subsequent owners. For the great majority the slight wear doesn't matter, firstly because they don't keep cars long enough to get anywhere near being affected, secondly because two...

I haven't admitted to any position, just mentioned OT being ahead. Since I started the thread years ago, it stands to reason I'd be well represented in posts, but that's not a fair comparison since most are much more recent entrants. Some are certainly making up for time though. Reaching back...

As an ex motor mechanic I'm absolutely sure Tommie and you're also contradicting the Ford technical man who last commented on that ability to me. As I've posted, I've run cars for over ten years with no servicing and in the USA some GM cars are ok for 100,000 miles to first service. And in...
