    Brexit, for once some facts.

If Philippa is a remainer at heart, do as we did in my constituency in the 2017 GE. That had long been a marginal swinging either way by very small margins, and the incumbent was the repugnant Tory insider Gavin Barwell with 167 majority. So we had a big Labour and Momentum campaign to get...

You may have something there, Jacob Rees Mogg could easily be a Doctor Who. .

Well, retiring Prime Ministers produce an honours list, so if JC expedites May's deal, it could happen since she said she's going if the deal gets through. .

I don't think Woosh is, it can easily happen with Customs Union tacked on. .

Indeed, and there could be worse to come in the years of trade negotiations, if how we've handled the last three years is anything to go by. .

Not at all surprising, it's well known that even much of the third world has better internet and phone services than the UK. I'm surprised you didn't know that. As a remainer I'm far from anxious, why would I be? If May's deal gets through it's certainly not Brexit and leaves the UK far...

Absolutely, and what I've been saying for ages. His apparent indecisiveness is part of his art, the product of many years experience in politics. Zlatan disagrees with you on this as he does with me, but he's never understood subtlety. .

True, but not in heart. He started early in life as a far to the right conservative but continuously moved to the left over time, leading him to vote against Tory three line whips, resigning from the front bench and at one point threatening to join the Labour party. That's why the Tories have...

    Salisbury battery

The Salisbury battery is a 26 volt li-polymer. They aren't one of the most long lived so that one is almost certainly dead and beyond recovery. Recelling as advised by BGA who do excellent work is the answer, since Powacycle appear to have shut up shop. .

Not worried, but as I can hard wire and that has some speed and reliability advantages as well as impregnable security, there's no point in not using it. WiFi can be hacked of course and in closely proximity flats that is more easy, if unlikely. .

It's the last bit you keep getting wrong, it is not easy. Possible certainly, but economically not when we can't even deal with basic safety essentials like potholes. The state of so many roads is now unbelievably bad, necessitating swerving all over the road to miss them even on some through...

For best security my network is hard wired so I don't use WiFi, but thanks for the suggestion anyway. .

But I have no access for the car to my home, and in these flats few would carry a huge 17 kWh battery into their flats. It has to be mains electricity at the garage or an i.c. car. .

You really couldn't be more wrong, you are looking at a very small proportion of Croydon. They didn't have much future proofing between the 11th and mid 20th centuries when most of the Borough of Croydon was built. .

But as I said to OJ, I don't need it at home, I have my landline phone and my phone calling is minimal. Dont forget what started this, it was about control of car speeds in restricted zones. The rest is all irrelevant and only arose because you wouldn't believe I had no mobile signal at home. .

I admire your optimism! I live on an estate of some 3000 homes, almost all with garages well separated from the homes and with no electricity at them. Cost of providing electricity to mine using the network provider plus electrician etc, circa £6000. I managed to circumvent that reducing it...

I'm as near as dammit Surrey Hills, living in the North Downs on the outer edge of London. Thanks for that info OJ, but I won't take it up since my phone usage is minimal and using my landline . Thats why I only use PAYG on the mainly emergency use mobile. I just checked and that mobile usage...

No you can't, since there wouldn't be so many dead zones if that was true. Covering an area is not the same as providing for all homes in that area, dead zones are numerous, even in some parts of London. I'm in southern Croydon in a steep sided valley that is a spur sticking out into the...
