    Brexit, for once some facts.

In general I agree and even before I bought my Leaf I saw it;'s absolute maximum of 89mph as an advantage. Having plenty of power low down where it can do sensible work is far better than having it way beyond national speed limits. The technology to do all the things mentioned isn't anywhere...

Sorry OG, but I have to disagree on the last bit from knowledge and experience. My car has the latest level three automation, but luckily I am able to select what parts I want. And that's as well since it has behaved very dangerously at times when in play. The fact is the technology isn't...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

As I assume you've also recognised, this use of technology was eventually inevitable. For the same reasons politicians want automated cars. But of course there are snags as has been pointed out. One is that automated cars make mistakes as my one shows only too well when I have the various...

I said many, not all, so that is not a generalisation in the sense you are reading it. And like 50Hertz, I stand by that from a long lifetime of similar experience and I will not be silenced from speaking from the truth of my long experience by political correctness. .

Last night I was at the monthly management meeting of our wildlife reserve support organisation. These are the committee members I work with and for, first names only for obvious reasons: Chairperson: Heather Secretary and events organiser: Linda Treasurer: Sandra Groups Liason officer...

It did for you. Did you miss the exclamation mark after "She is a woman? That has a meaning, that it was known that it could be seen as provocative. And in recognition it was followed by "Many women ---", not "All women ----", and what followed is true. Very many women do claim intuition...

At long last, a quality mirror!

I fully agree and wouldn't ride any bike without mirror and bell or similar. However, it isn't a legal requirement to have a bell on a bicycle in the UK, which is a pity. Our rather strange law is that every new bike sold must be supplied with a bell, but it doesn't have to be fitted! Those...

If one wants to replace what she's been doing, an African grey that's learned a few phrases would suffice. If it's appearance, maybe a scarecrow. But to perform, some of the media types have named the potentials of Hunt, Rudd and Raab, not that I'd like them in particular. I'd prefer one of...

Rubbish. This, like anti-semitic, is stupidly trotted out at any adverse comment against either party. No-one on this planet is immune from criticism when wrong. And haven't you noticed the incredible level of misandry from women these days? What's ok for one is good for the other. .

She's a woman! Many women won't change their minds, they claim this imaginary quality they call intuition which makes them certain they cannot possibly be wrong.* Margaret Thatcher was a prime example, and the EU had the same trouble with her. They made the mistake of giving in to her, but...

    Impulse 2.0 problems

It's not Kalkhoff that's been the trouble, here's how the troubles came about. Before going into e-bikes they made a fine range of good quality bikes that included the Agattu and Pro Connect models. Deciding to get into pedelecs, they did as two other fine brands, BikeTec of Switzerland and...

I agree, I don't think any Leavers have changed their minds. The change in the polls is all to do with more determination by Remainers who, through a complacent certainty that remain would win, didn't bother to vote in 2016. The result shocked them as much as it did the complacent politicians...

    What's happened to Powacycle?

Thanks Neale, I got the new user bit, but was baffled as to why he changed my "over 12 years" experience of forum posts to "over 10 years", since as a new entrant I couldn't see how he would have 10 years of viewing all the forum posts. 10 years lurking would be remarkable! .

MartinsBart, why have you copied and pasted my above post as coming from you, and also altered the 12 years to 10 years? .

I'm listening and always have an open mind, but you haven't posted anything that changes the reality of our constitution in this respect. The Crown and Parliament are always sovereign over the people, no matter what any government or parliament mistakenly or dishonestly states to the contrary...
