    LCD Display

If you have a meter you can confirm if any fuse is intact as you should get battery (SOC) voltage on the discharge pins. Look for a rubber/neoprene socket cover on the battery, often batteries have a car blade fuse to simply pull out. If one isn't accessible then it will be inside the case...

    Biuld in battery charger

The led will have residual draining affect over time. Use a panel mount on/off switch to the case and connect the Red/V line either side then you can be sure it is not being drained. Also some controllers can have the same affect.

Help! I zip fault starts up on switching on?

Somewhere there is a likely an intermittent wire fault (broken wire/ false contact) causing the issue, disconnect the brake sensors as well to see if the issue continues. Also open the controller to check all wire solder connections to the pcb. With the controller open use a meter and...

    HELP NEEDED

To get the bike working price wise you still need to spend £300 - £400 on a battery and a new non oem electrics kit, you may well need a new BB and chain set. Before even thinking of spending money the BB bracket size needs to be confirmed as a standard 34mm English thread type and the motor...

    HELP NEEDED

A new battery/charger is about £700 , the price is about right for a system that utilises hand shaking protocols, non CAN bus ebikes you can buy at least two batteries with more capacity. The locked in system has you by the Googlies because they aren't fixable with a standard battery. The A2B...

Derestrict code for Off Road Use

The guy in London got a way scot free in February on his 1kw bike, the lady died the day after she walked out in front of him. The video of the incident looked as if the bike rider didn't have a leg to stand on, he was cleared of unlawful killing by a jury.

Can someone tell me what these are?

I have replied in your other thread sadly they mean bad news as bike uses a CAN bus protocol comms system.

    HELP NEEDED

Those wires mean bad news, the bike uses a CAN bus system. So comms between battery/controller & display means you can't use just any battery, the system is similar to Bosch, Yamaha & Steps meaning a third party battery is a no no. It is a locked in /closed system. It might be possible to rip...

Ok thank for clarifying, usually when someone mentions buying a bike without the battery/charger alarm bells start to ring.

    BBS01B

I'm not 100% if the speed/current setting on BBS only affects throttle as this is where it is headed under. With remote controllers on hub bikes the speed/current control setting affects how the user control is delivered. Speed control setting allows max current in all PAS levels with each...

    more bikes on road

You might not want to know , and not really suitable to put in to text on this forum. A derogatory sexual term used to by younger men aimed at older women, try googling it.

Hello from Yorkshire.. Broke it already

I doubt drying out the controller as one might with an lcd will work, the controller has many more parts like diodes, resistors, capacitors and fets. Moisture tracking between esp 5v /Gnd tracks will cause shorting somewhere, it doesn't take long for any copper oxidisation tracks to appear as...

Kemp Starley Dutch Town Bike - out of hibernation.

29.1 v is good and not far off fully balanced , it may get better with more cycling charges. The hub looks much better/cleaner hopefully you used a good dob of grease on the gearing ?# The led looks like it is all but toast. Hall sensors are cheap get ss41's from ebay for a quid or two.

    BBS01B

In PAS setiings 'Keep Current' is very low ideal for ultra conservative power and max battery range but means you are only seeing 20% of the 18a current available, most set this to between 60% & 100% to get more power from the motor. In throttle handle mode is set to speed change it to current.

    E Nike not working correctly

36v battery won't run a 48v D/D moped hub, the voltage isn't nowhere near enough, simple as that. Yet another buyer wasting money on a 1kw D/D hub without understanding what the real cost of a decent D/D system should be, a decent 48v battery will be at least £375 but tbh will only get you about...
