Look at 700c or 650b CX bikes that give you the option of wider tyres up to about 50mm.

    New Gov Commuting Initiative

I will be be going on long bike rides again after this week, I have 3 or 4 days of outside house maintenance to finish and will have saved myself about 3.5k sterling by doing the work myself during the lock down conditions.

Woosh Big Bear Plus - Battery, Punctures

For hub motor wheels if using a tube pay the money and buy a Gaadi tube or two so that you don't need to faff removing the wheel set up. Gaadi tube are not cheap but being double ended are an easier option to use. SJS cycles online sometime sell them half price, I bough three recently for £7 each.

    Urban mover um33x lost power

29v for 24v is good so no issue with the charge value. The issue is likely the torque sensor crank set up may have failed. In the pics of the small pcb board there are black marks bottom rhs, are they surface marks or do they mask the tracks underneath as damage.

    Voilamart 250w to 1000w? Battery?

In 250w mode then the cheap low power batteries will work fine, but I can't for the life of me see (barring) the cheap price why you would want to put a heavy 1 - 1.5kw hub in a rear wheel when a decent 250w - 500w 2 - 3kg geared hub will do the same job but better. If one was to use the bike...

    Ezee Charging problem

42.3V is a little high but then again the meter used to take the reading might not be calibrated correctly or is simply within the +/- 1 or 2 % tolerance. If the battery isn't charging then it may be out of balance if it has been sitting for a while, this might mean that one of the cell...

    Help! carrera vengeance e bike

Before buying message the vendor and ask if it is Lishui compatible or ask if it is a KM display. Alternately you can try ringing Woosh bikes and asking if they have one they might sell as they exclusively use in the main Lishui electronics.

    Help! carrera vengeance e bike

If the display is made by King meter it will be compatible with Lishui controller. The 780, 790, 810 etc,etc should all be compatible, as are the SW labelled ones and the likes of any that use the KM in the title like KM 575 or KM J-lcd. But beware make sure it is made by KM as some displays...

    New Gov Commuting Initiative

True, they paint a line and a squashed bike on the road usually no more then 2' wide expecting this to be enough for vehicles to safely pass. I often see vehicles give no extra room when passing and many don't slow down, imv a cyclist should be given a four or five feet berth at least and then...

retro fitting throttle to new e bikes

John's budget is good as he is looking at the OEM mid drive range for his budget so quite a few bikes might suit him, although he is looking at mtb style I wouldn't rule out a 700c hybrid type that might accommodate wider tyres or possibly convert a bike using one of Woosh's lower rpm wound high...

retro fitting throttle to new e bikes

Yes if the controller allows it and has the after option of adding a throttle then any hub motor bike can use a throttle, my main reply was because of the OP's posting of the two latter bikes with Canbus mid drive systems. Though the Carrera is hub drive it uses the awful Suntour Torque system...

Advice please.... Pro Rider E-Wayfarer controller.

There are no speeding laws for bikes and below 20 mph no one will take much notice. My KT/Bafang CST hub combo cuts out at 16.5 mph using my six year old 29E celled batteries but I can in benign conditions do 20 mph, so am pedalling above the assist with my power input.
