    Cyclotricity 1000w controller

Forget the wattage rating as they don't exist, all you need to know is the amp rating of the controller. KT various on Aliexp. https://okfeet.aliexpress.com/store/group/controller-and-box/3521021_513150186.html?spm=a2g0o.detail.100008.24.3d7f108cSZ3NI1

    Yosepower hub kits.

I'm not 100% sure but I don't think the Yose hub is their own branded make, I think it might be a customer Bafang model.

Help! First e-bike Halfords or DIY?

At 62kgs Op can utilise the lightest motor so the 1.7kg Bafang G370 or the Aikema SX85 would be good and a smaller 8- 10ah battery will be good for at least 30 miles.

Help! First e-bike Halfords or DIY?

Depends where and for how long you leave it, 15 - 20 mins to nip in to village/town or city to shop you might be ok, any longer you need to consider removing the battery. Two very good strong locks thru each wheel will be better then a single flimsy wire lock.

    Checking off decision to convert

E- cars use far larger battery systems so have built in systems to heat and cool the cells, e- push bikes don't. The e- push bike battery is very very basic so ideally needs charging in a frost free location. Charging on a timer is a good solution if it is reliable, leaving a battery fully...

Somewhere in all of that is a wire/connector fault. It may be a broken wire that now and then contacts and only needs a slight bump/movement to cause the issue or a false connector pin contact. Certainly ride without the Brake and throttle for a while to see if all is well. Do check out the...

Two new batteries, now both dead :(

For compatibility you need the same battery case and controller to handle the different voltages like a KT dual voltage model, this will have programming for lvc for both batteries. This why when dealing with China vendors problems arise and the toing and froing is a damn nuisance and time...

Two new batteries, now both dead :(

Connector is called EC5/Euro connector. Unless your controller is dual voltage or has 63v main inlet capacitor then it will blow. Your motor will run 33% faster and may heat up more esp on inclines , the rpm will increase by 33% as well. Generally a 36 v hub run at 48v will be less efficient...

Brake sensor and throttle can cause problems disconnect them from the controller and ride just with PAS to see if the intermittent problem goes away. Then if it works ok again connect the brake sensor again and try it out, last of all connect the throttle. That way you may be able to pin point...

If Ruben has a Deore 9spd Cassette then it will likely already have a 11t high gear. There is a 44 and 48t chainring for the PW drive, the BCD is 104mm a std mtb BCD.
