my enerprof softpack has arrived but not with lg mj1 but samsung 35e

The high amp C rated cells like the VTC's & 30Q are good if you need them for high current draw other wise they loose capacity quite quickly. The VTC6 is down to 92.5% capacity after only 100 cycles and the 30Q fairs a bit worse, If you need ultimate range then the LG MJ1 and M36 look like a...

my enerprof softpack has arrived but not with lg mj1 but samsung 35e

Leaving cells at 4.2v should only be very short term and I only allow this for about a max of 6 - 8hrs when I carry out a full balance charge other wise I leave them at <3.9v per cell when not in use even if only for day or two. Between 4.1v and 4.2v there is very little capacity of much use...

my enerprof softpack has arrived but not with lg mj1 but samsung 35e

The 29E is a low power cell, I bemoaned it's worth on here a few years ago. That was because I abused it a bit too much with higher discharge. If it is treated well it is a top performer for it price point. My pair of 29Es now well into their 6th year still give me 40 miles range each if I molly...

my enerprof softpack has arrived but not with lg mj1 but samsung 35e

Big thread on ES at the mo on cell life cycle ageing testing by some of the guys on there to 700 cycles. There criteria is only measuring capacity between 4.1v - 3.3v the most usable capacity without charging to 4.2v which holds very little use for a cell, charging is at 1a and discharge is 2.5a...

    PAS sensor acting weird

If the PAS only works backwards then you have the disc orientated incorrect (as they are directional) and the magnet poles on the wrong face, you have to flip the disc over or reverse the sensor orientation but don't do both as you will be in the same position.

Please help me troubleshoot motor or controller fail

My motor works faultlessly but I never used the Yose controller kit as I sold it to someone, my KT stuff was already on my bike so used that as it was working fine. This is isn't the first time someone has mentioned issues with the Yose kit but not to your extent. Throwing money at cheap kit...

    PAS sensor, one way?

Some PAS are double hall sensored and aren't equal and this can happen. Set PAS to 0 when push backwards or buy another PAS sensor. I have one that does it is usually the sensor that comes with12 pole discs, I simply set PAS to 0 so it doesn't happen when wheeling or manovering the bike...

Which UK couriers will ship a battery?

Theoretically the battery is connected to an electronic device as it has a BMS/PCB wired to it.

Please help me troubleshoot motor or controller fail

Which PAS are you using ? All seems a bit odd so can't really add any more from a far.

Without controller error codes then no. If you have a multimeter then you can carry out simple resistance and voltage tests to see if the controller or motor are faulty. You could rule out a controller issue, does the wheel rotate forwards by hand with little or no resistance ? If it does...

Which UK couriers will ship a battery?

It is like a lot of couriers it has to be a business account or trusted companies that will have insurance/protocols in place.

    The end of the Pedelec!

Widespread use they will become a menace on footpaths esp if speeds are curbed, I for one will take action and try and have them off the damn things.

    Hiadi battery cells

The battery is likely ok at a near £400 price tag and as we know the Wisper is well supported, the punt is worthwhile if the price is right. The battery was over two years ago so again the usual caveat about batteries and how well they may or may not last.

Please help me troubleshoot motor or controller fail

Phase wires all three should show SOC using the red supply wire, are you sure you are getting good contact. sometimes I use a pair of sewing needles to jam down inside connectors and use my probe on them. It sounds likely/ possible the controller voltage regulator is at fault.

Juicy Classic Dutch or Apache Wakita City 2020 model 26 inch?

Tbh and though Juicy are recommended and have good CS, I think the LWB battery behind the seat tube design is so yesterday and a dated design, Woosh, Wisper and Kudos both have more modern and up to date offerings though some of their prices will reflect in having better specs. All day long I...

    The end of the Pedelec!

How would a scooter help me with exercise and health ? Wouldn't be no good for me when I go on a 100 - 160k ride. Can't tow my loaded bike trailer. They will be for the lazy people who don't wan't any exercise. Only use of any good will be for commuters in large towns and cities.

    Hiadi battery cells

A static test under power with the wheel off the ground and application of the brake to the tipping point of not stopping the wheel will induce a good loading for a test. Voltage isn't a reliable test alone for a healthy battery as old worn cells with high IR/capacity loss will still hold a...

Please help me troubleshoot motor or controller fail

SOC (State of charge/battery charge). A static motor should see SOC on each of the phases, with the motor running the SOC will be less. For instance my battery is at 36.3v which I see on each phase, when I power up the motor the voltage drops to about 22.4v so about 33% less. It's not without...

Mid Drive for off trail and Hub Motor for flat commutes, true or false?

Even though a hub bike is rideable to a degree with a broken chain, I always carry a spare and a breaker.
