    Brexit, for once some facts.

Agreed. Agreed. There is virtually no support for no deal, Farage is what he's always been, an irrelevance and throwback to the past like Jacob Rees Mogg. .

Not since 2016, only since it became apparent that truly Leaving is so impossible. .

Not a problem for the EU, nor even for Germany, just a temporary problem for BMW. The maximum cost for Germany of all EU sourced trade with the UK ceasing is 7% of their exports. They said long ago they could afford that and actually afforded slightly more in the 2008 recession, thus proving...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

No, not necessarily. An opposition should only oppose on what it disagrees with. Opposition for the sake of it whether believed in or not would be childishly foolish. We have an opposition party representing Remainers, but that is not Labour, it's the LibDems. But unfortunately their period...

As a Remainer I don't agree with JC not supporting Remain, but isn't he entitled to his opinion and his right to stand on that opinion? He was after all elected to his position and huge numbers agree with him. If he supported what he disagreed with, like Remainer Theresa May for example, that...

The problem is the people like you in the media, phobically opposed to Corbyn whatever he does and calling him a communist or extremist when he's merely a socialist. He has policies but there's no point in enunciating them when they'll just be used with bigotry and distortion as weapons against...

But it's Boris's job to support his party in government, it's JC's job to disrupt where he opposes. Clearly Boris has been by a very large margin the worst, but as usual of course, economists don't have a clue. .

Indeed, something I've long maintained, Brexit largely driven by those who mistakenly think the Great in Great Britain refers to status and can't let go of the associated delusions. .

What an odd response. I don't have to make it clear since it's self evident that I post my opinion on a future outcome. As you've posted yourself, none of us know what the outcome will be, so we can only express opinions on it. .

Very true, but unfortunately her stubborn nature would probably prevent her taking advantage of it, even with awareness. Backing out of withdrawal is the best solution to today's impasse, possibly with a statement to make that more palatable that Brexit can return as an issue at a future date. .

But surely London and the South-East is Remain and the North largely Leave? So not really off topic, South and Remain being right and North and Leave being wrong. .

    Website update

Just tried with Chrome and still I see no ads on the left Dave. I haven't set any zoom factor, just come in on the browser defaults, only getting the forum and the odd ad on the right, as in my screenshot. P.S. Just checked and my Firefox zoom factor is 110% like yours, but no left hand ads. .

That's obfuscation OG, using terms like "relative" and picking on lowest tax points in the capital. Londoners pay very comparable council tax for properties that are a fraction of the size in most areas, often only a room or two. A nd North Yorkshire with its many wealthy residents has been...

Not my thread, I only started it and accept no blame. And I don't see Zlatan as criticising me, only what I post He'll criticise that whatever it is, even if I copied and pasted what he'd posted. It's because I'm a Remainer so I'm not allowed to be unchallenged as being right. .

No divine right, just reporting all the envy that Northerners keep expressing against London and the South East. You can start with Andy Burnham, Mayor of Greater Manchester who never shuts up complaining on the media or directly to Ministers. .

That's nonsense, London alone contributes $50 billions annually to the rest of the country from its financial services income, and most of that goes northwards. Then there's the substantially larger taxes paid from southerners higher earnings Yes, London and the South East do get more spent...

Really, you enjoy concrete blocks along much of its length to narrow it, with 50 limit for mile after mile and the police sneaking laser cameras over the parapets to nick drivers daring to exceed that? Smart motorway, what a joke. I know from driving it how bad it is and there's no shortage of...
