    New small folder Xiaomi

The range is about right when you divide by 2... I was just calculating a 5 Ah battery last night.

    Bike security

The glue is apparently the unstickable variety. Just there to discourage the dumber thief "Doh! The bike is registered, better leave it alone". A better sticker says "Bike equipped with electronic tracking device" even if it isn't. For clever thieves who can read and know what a tracking device is.

Trying to source a wide wheel rim.

Didn't check the widths, sorry, my 700C is 23 mm which is the width you want. I looked for a cheap one here (Decathlon, Intersport) but Taylor was the cheapest, shipping included, double walled and with eyelets which the local cheap wheels didn't have.

Project: Adding passenger seat to FS bike

I would say you are good for a 20% safety margin on those racks. That is what I would do rather than build. @Wicky when your government finally sells you down the river to China here is what will be on the streets :p

    Number Two

I love the Chinese... Ordered my hidden wire brake switch, a new S06SC torque simulation controller with input for external speed sensor and other bits and bobs from bmsbattery. So they take the money and package the order and... nothing for 5 whole days until I send an e-mail "please ship my...

Trying to source a wide wheel rim.

https://www.taylor-wheels.com/bike-wheels/26-inch-bike-wheel/ Of course they are in Europe which isn't a country and far from the UK... But their shipping costs are reasonable. Well built but you will have to tighten the spokes after a few km.

Project: Adding passenger seat to FS bike

A design school first year we had a project: - Build a suspension bridge capable of supporting a brick between two other bricks - Material allowed are balsa wood, paper and thread You learn a lot about triangulation and how structure is just as, if not more, important than material strength...

    One big hill

A kit mounted to a free bike would be your best bet to stay closer to budget. I am on my second free bike so they are definitely out there to be had. Or a second hand bike that has been loved. I was also in a very difficult financial position when i started out last year and went over budget...

Because someone had to be paid to package it and take it to the post office. Stamps and labour guess which one costs the most... I have run a business :D I just paid $25 postage to BMSbattery for $40 worth of goods and it is coming from their warehouse in the Netherlands not China...

2017 Moustache- some have intergrated batteries

Pretty soon they will all look the same and you will have to read the text to see who made the bike. I like the way specialized and Giant are recognizable from frame design.

Shows how far e-bikes have come, it would have to be a speed pedelec though.

bike lcd milage vs garmin edge differ

I had the same problem briefly with the hub motor but it went away. Both were within reasonable levels. The GPS in my tablet/smartphone doesn't work under trees for speed but distance on arrival is spot on.

New member. Going to buy one, will it help me lose weight?

My form weight = about 76 kg for a 1.80 m male. At the moment I am about 78 kg (working 6 nights a week so not getting enough exercise) and before the bike I was up to about 81-82 kg at which point I felt uncomfortable. When I was unemployed I went rowing 60-70 km every week and brought home...

    Freego battery Replacement

I thought about building batteries for myself and others at one point and the conclusion was let people like Insat do it. @vidtek you have the know how but many people including DIY pedelec builders familliar with soldering irons wouldn't risk using a spot welder on a battery cell. After lots...
