    Lafree parts

Buy Halls from Ebay. Usually SS41 or you could probably use 3144/44E type. When you open the motor double the hall will have a designation on it to confirm.

Newby, looking for technical help on Carrera Crosscity E. No power assistance when pedaling.

LCD displays all differ though most work in a similar way, 4 Red LED's sounds good each LED equates approx. to 25% of the battery charge. The mode LED is just an indicator to show the mode you are in, I assume you have three modes L, M & H. Thanks for confirming the voltages they all look good...

Newby, looking for technical help on Carrera Crosscity E. No power assistance when pedaling.

Firstly you need to confirm the battery voltage once it has been charged, you will need a volt meter to get a reading from the discharge pins. Also confirm the charger output voltage when plugged in to the wall socket, charger should give 42v reading and battery should be approx. 41.5 - 42v when...

    rear wheel corroded

Rear wheels esp cassette hubs have a fair dish on them so as Sturmey says get the right side tightened so the rim is central between the stays, then you can tighten left side to pinch tight before toing and froing from side to side where patience is needed some times only adjusting a few...

Front hub 48v motor for very hilly area

Carrying a dead weight of a motor around certainly won't make inclines easier, you need to try the SWX02 with the PAS sensor so whip off the TDZS to try it. With 5 pas levels you won't need the throttle as PAS 5 gives full current like the throttle.

    rear wheel corroded

If you have never attempted a wheel build before then it is not so straight forward and takes a bit of practice, after a two or three goes you can get a reasonable job. Ideally a truing stand is easier to use for trueing or you can it in the rear drops outs with the bike up turned. Start from...

    Trailer for heavy loads.

I added front and rear reflectors at about £10- 12 cost as they were missing. The lollipop elastomer has a split in it behind the eye so I have reinforced it with a pair of ali splints above and below bolted through with small bolts. An new lollipop is about 25 euros. So I can also use the CF on...

    Are Cytronex still in business?

1.45v is a more typical voltage you will see I believe, though chargers may vary. Time will tell, though packs accept high charge again, if they are knackered (capacity wise) voltage will sag terribly and range will nit be good. If you buy more Nimh cells then best to replace all of them...

    Are Cytronex still in business?

Nimh hvc is 1.5v and lvc 1.1v, though typically 1.4v &1 .2v respectively are used for longevity. 30 cells in series gives a typical 42v hvc and 33v lvc, so you sure your bike isn't a 36v model. 12s might be a bit too much but to be sure investigate your controller first to see if the main in...
