    Cyclist kills bus passenger...

Not this time, it's in France and they don't have Frexit. Or Tories, they have FN, the National Front of the le Pen family. .

    Regenerative braking?

It's called marketing, relying on public ignorance. Remember, Audi is VW, the emission cheats, crime against consumers is nothing new for them. The EU has heavily fined them three times for price fixing, first €4 millions, then when repeated three years later, €31 millions, and in the...

    Regenerative braking?

That's total rubbish, the Leaf for one has always done this. My routine braking never engages the pads, even in normal mode it's all done by the drag of the motor regenerating on the overrun. If I flick the puck into B mode it multiplies the regen, feeling like a giant hand grabbing the car to...

    HaHa it actually happened......Cheat !!!!!!

In EU law, which law we follow, pedelecs are referred to as EPACs*. (Electric Pedal Assisted Cycles) So we are Epacking. :) * UK law re-orders that to EAPCs. .

    HaHa it actually happened......Cheat !!!!!!

That amused me, 2010! I first rode assisted in 1950, sixty-eight years ago! Nobody accused anyone of cheating back then, it was unheard of. The reason for that was twofold. First almost all cycling back then was utility for transport, there was none of today's silly furiously pedalling...

    HaHa it actually happened......Cheat !!!!!!

A bit too close to saying cycling though, still likely to prompt the cheat accusations. The name needs to be different enough to stop that. .

    Pulling a trailer under load......Flecc?

He's a great character Tom, not unusual up north. Often his own worse enemy of course, if he was a little less rigid in his views he'd be able to improve what he does. But so long as he's happy it doesn't really matter. I've never transported a settee on my trailer, but have a double divan...

    HaHa it actually happened......Cheat !!!!!!

Not going to twist anything around since it's obvious you aren't going to change your mind. My whole point from the outset if you care to look back is that calling power assisted riding cycling will always bring accusations of cheating. If what we do was called something else, that wouldn't...

    HaHa it actually happened......Cheat !!!!!!

Not for me, I said it was your argument that amounted to your being a part time cyclist. I don't think pedelecers / e-bikers are cyclists at all. It's fundamental to cycling that the cyclist provides the motive power. Being mechanically propelled isn't cycling. .

    HaHa it actually happened......Cheat !!!!!!

All your arguments add up to one thing, you are a part time cyclist. When you are being assisted you are being mechanically propelled to some degree. That ain't cycling, it's pedelecing. . .

    HaHa it actually happened......Cheat !!!!!!

Not daft at all, winds blow in all directions and cyclists travel in all directions, so the effects cancel out over time. Power assistance is always power assistance. .

    HaHa it actually happened......Cheat !!!!!!

And that assistance is enough to prevent you being a cyclist in the accepted sense. And it's also enough to prompt the accusation of cheating. .

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Not quite. Yes they choose their MPs, but their MPs are mostly remainers, so they don't really get to choose the parliamentary outcome. At least half the present Tory and Labour MPs would have to be deselected to get a Leaver House of Commons. But then they'd still be up against the House of...

    HaHa it actually happened......Cheat !!!!!!

Certainly a different commonly understood term would remove any reason for saying e-biking is cheating. Nobody ever said using one of the old autocycles was cheating, though they had pedals, probably because riding one was never called cycling. .

    Copyrights

This bit is somewhat nonsensical though: The court also said it is “of little importance” if the copyright holder does not limit “the ways in which the photograph may be used by internet users.” If the copyright holder doesn't want or intend to prosecute, it becomes of prime importance since...

    Regenerative braking?

Doesn't make much sense on an average ic car. Suzuki now have strange regen system on at least one model. They have a crankshaft speed starter motor that regenerates on the overrun to charge a little lithium battery under the front passenger seat. That battery current is then put back into...
