How to add a throttle to a Carrera Vengeance E Spec

Some throttles have 4 or more wires as well, a twist throttle may have a small lcd voltage screen. More wires are then required some also have a lock as well, wiring may also be for a permanent v+ supply and a switch supply. Though as pointed out most simple thumb type throttles only use a 3...

    The Great Shaft Drive Search

The case I've not seen before, it's very long. 410mm x 92mm x 70mm, Cells are buss welded as 10s 5p nut not in a conventional layout, this one is 3 cells wide and one row is 19 cells long. You mayhave to re do the jst lead and solder your bms jst to them (The jst connector is a double decker...

    Newbie with loose wire!

These thin wires probably ranging about 22 / 24 awg size or approx. 0.22/0.33 mm2 are copper or coated/tinned copper and can handle voltage of up to approx. 600v DC so no issue, the critical bit is the mm2 sizing for current load. These small wires only carry small load usually via the Gnd v-...

    Winter Riding

Buy the next size up in the waterproof crab from PX, I have it in large and it is tight. The non waterproof one fits well in large and is a less constrictive fit.

how long does it take from ordering a battery softpack to delivery from enerprof de

I like the NCR18650PF's I current have using a 36v pack (5P) in series with 12v (6p )booster pack of old Sam 26F, range 35 - 60 miles depending on assist use. wind ,terrain & temps. During a summer ride after 36 miles I still had grunt with out hitting lvc on about a 450 ft climb over 3 miles...

Carbon forks - Specialised Crux E5 - Front hub 250w

You can't use carbon fork as you will be unable to alter the drop outs. Sometimes up to 1mm of material needs removing for the 10mm axles to slide in and then often they don't sit in deep enough as the axle is 12mm compared to 9mm of QR's, 3mm is needed to be removed to allow correct hub axle...

    Newbie with loose wire!

Answer yes most likely why no power, brown will be 5v+ supply. What the wire connector is from you will need to see if you can trace the other end. The white wire usually is speed sensing or related. It could be 4 wire pas or led panel ?

    Switched from SWXB to Q100H

Hmmm !!! As AK has mentioned on hills if you feel no difference from pas3 to pas5 then the controller must be set to speed control and not current control. With Current control you can't not miss the extra power supplied.

    Battery life

Re programme the settings in the 'Basic' tab, have different assist/speed set ups and have two motors in one. In the settings reduce the Limit C (A) to 18 or 20a. Set parameters in assist levels 1 -5 for low torque high speed when riding flat terrain and use these mostly to eke out mileage...

    Battery life

Overvolting a 36v mid drive is a no go, the controller will smoke typically the capacitors. It will depend on the amps setting which has been programmed, if it is set for 25a then as the battery pack voltage lowers then as said at the 25/30 mile stage the BMS lvc probably come in to play. The...

    Extra wires on BMS

I have had another look at the BMS listed on Banggood and their is little or no specs for it. It does seem strange to list it as 48v 16s when in fact 16s is 60v, then it twigged Lifepo4 48v is 16s so expect the BMS is actually for that battery chemistry and listed correctly but with scant...

16kmh max speed from 1000w motor!

You will have a controller somewhere other wise the motor wouldn't work, hub has 3 phase and the hub wiring will be wired via connectors to a controller box somewhere. Follow both the battery wiring and the hub motor cable and both will lead to the controller.

    newbie questions from an oldie

Front 250w kits are thin on the ground, Yose 250w is 36v and the hub a bit weedy at only about 20/25nm of torque.

    newbie questions from an oldie

Problem is unless you buy a kit, it is unlikely you will get a hub marked 250w. They will be marked 350 or 500w.

    Extra wires on BMS

That is badly labelled/sold it is for 15s so a much higher voltage then 48v, you have to ignore the 48v claim. It has 15 red sense wires and the black one for B-/0v.

I need some advice on what front forks to buy.

Those are better similar to the ones I used, notice the meaty flat area above the drops. Ideal to make and a tap T/A's to, a one piece T/A secured is rock solid and there is no play or give in the fixing if you get the axle hole nigh on spot on ( the important bit being the flat edges to fit...
