I need some advice on what front forks to buy.

No good I had a pair but 26" on mtb and both drops failed within 1k miles, there is no area to secure a TA directly. No use using jube clips as there is just to much give. With the Suntours they have a very nice thick flat triangulate area on them adj to the D/O, I made a pair of purpose made...

I need some advice on what front forks to buy.

Drops will have failed due to stress fracture caused by hub torque, so you need beefy ali drop outs or steel ones. Rockshoks are no good the ali will fail, been there done it :p. Suntours with 60/70mm travel worked for me with 20a bpm and no issues with 3k miles, don't just rely on Torque...

    Extra wires on BMS

Show us a link to the board. Most BMS will have +1 extra sense wire for a B- connection to read 0v then the correct amount of B+ wires for sensing. A board with 16 sense wires will be for 15s /54v battery and not a 13s/48v battery, so not suitable. From what you have explained you are looking at...

    newbie questions from an oldie

With 48v yo don't have to go mad 14 - 17a is plenty. From PSWPower.com or they are on Aliexpress buy a dual voltage controller 36/48v with lcd screen and a choice of amps 15 -20, doesn't matter if yo get a high amp controller as thye can easily be adjusted for less amps via the lcd. Then you...

    newbie questions from an oldie

You can overvolt a 36v 250w hub by fitting a suitable 48v controller up to 20a ouput and a good 48v battery. Hub rpm will increase by 33%, watts at the hub will increase up to 750w or so. Equally a company like Woosh bikes sell a 48v 250w hub kit.

16kmh max speed from 1000w motor!

If the controller is in the base of the battery rail it is most likely a solid state micro pcb, so won't have any way of de-restriciting there.

    Q128C freehub replacement

My bad didn't read proper. I wasn't able to remove the freehub body from my Q128C but ex member d8veh said it was easy. No matter what I couldn't budge it !!! My guess it will be a fairly std part.

16kmh max speed from 1000w motor!

Two battery wires will lead to a controller somewhere. Though it also may be internal with the drive motor.

    Yosepower hub kits.

Any battery is fraught with issues is a fault develops as sending it back isn't generally an option for overseas. For Uk Jimmy/BGA & Woosh have a carrier arrangement.

    Q128C freehub replacement

Any 9 speed mtb or road one will do the job which has the standard splines/key way fitting. Sram PG50. Shimano HG50 , HG200 - 400. Shimano MTB like M770 etc, Deore/XT. Sunrace cassettes. All will fit just depends on how much you want to spend and gearing needed...

    Yosepower hub kits.

For 10a rated lion cells there are a few good ones to choose from. Probably best for the money is PF or LG M26 I mentioned. The LG M range of newer INR cells are their 10a rated ones. Also from LG are ; MG1 2850mah. MH1 3200mah. MJ1 3450mah. MG26 2600mah. MG36 3600mah. From Sanyo/Panasonic (...

Some KT controllers have a speed link wire connected to restrict any overspeed so first off show us some pics of the wiring, incidentally a pair of single white wires connected.

ADVICE/ADVICE - Think my battery has Finally died !!!

Yes as mentioned if bms has one extra pin then series connections, then the pins outs can be B0 to B13 or B- & B1 to B13 really depends on the maker. Any how sounds like you have it sorted out for now, when there is an extra wire I always call pin #1 B- as this always connects to B- , but as...

A rare piece of history - Swizzbee

I have got a watt meter with remote 100a shunt , the watt meter I plan on mounting in a small project box so I can view the parameters as I'm riding to actually see real term data of voltage, draw and wh be used. Just need to find a suitable locale to position it and a method of disconnection...

A rare piece of history - Swizzbee

Yes quite a handful of watts for a 24v 270w Heinzman brushed mid mount motor, one reason why I couldn't resist 150 unused PF cells at a £1 a cell. £98 to make a 98 cell of 14p 7s near to 1000wh battery pack. I was planning on something a bit less using 30Q or similar.
