Motorists and bikes. New rules from March

I only take the prime if it is safe to do so with plenty of time/space for those behind to react in safe manner. It's only the ar*eh*les/dimwit's you have to worry about who either don't care or don't give a damn and it is those the law need to catch and fine. They are the one's who try to...

Motorists and bikes. New rules from March

Worst places I find is when approaching lights or junctions , for some time now I've been taking prime position at these places and do so for some 30 - 40m approaching them ensuring I don't get squeezed .

Motorists and bikes. New rules from March

Only might happen if the rare visible plod happens to be in the vicinity otherwise won't happen, unless video footage is taken as evidence. The only time footage evidence is used is when they ask for any in accident cases.

Advice for disabled rider on steep climbs - realistic?

Carbon bikes have too much carbon surrounding the ali BB, the material build up is to thick and won't allow clearance for any of the Mid drives to slide on , whether Bafang, Mxus, Tongsheng or GSM.

    Adding Disk Brakes

Ditch the cable brake/s and fit a hydraulic, so much better for stopping , brake replacement and wet weather performance.. No need to worry about bleeding just buy and fit, a basic Shimano BM395/445 has very good braking with twin actuated pistons.

Advice for disabled rider on steep climbs - realistic?

Forget carbon bike conversion, BB will be to bulky for a mid drive to fit an dropouts unsuitable for modifying usually. A lot of replies have ignored or not read the OP's opening post, as very little assist has been asked for so rules out all torque drive systems like Yam/Bosch etc. A good hub...

I wired up lights on my bike and use small motorbike 40mm dia lights I got off Banggood, they are rated for up to 6 - 84v or something like it and have an intergral step down converter so easy to fit and use.

    battery upgrade

Just be cause the polarity is marked doesn't mean it is correct, only checking with a meter will confirm. It might only be one in a million that is wrong and you might have had the one.

    battery upgrade

Possibly a battery fault or just a bad fuse. Wrong polarity will ruin a controller if no fuse is install between the pair so I always check battery polarity with a meter, wrong polarity will cause the fuse to blow . Don't always take for granted that polarity is correct, mistakes can be...
