    after prostate cancer operation

You've got a sensible doctor and I very much doubt you'll regret your decision. Not only is the PSA test very unreliable, it sometimes leads to unnecessary biopsies which themselves can cause pain, incontinence problems and even cancer in a few cases. If you haven't got the symptoms of...

    Cooper E

Having read this I'm even less impressed. Light assistance, backpedal regen and single speed isn't likely to win over anyone who's tried a regular e-bike. .

Who wants a certified e-bike helmet?

These are designed to a Dutch only NTA standard at present. Hopefully the EU will adopt it, but it's doubtful we will in the UK, leaving us stuck with only motorcycle helmets legal on registered S class bikes. .

Anyone tried these puncture proof tyres ?

The one Schwalbe intend to introduce may be getting there, since it combines conventional construction with a solid insert. Weight might be its problem though, solid inserts will never be as light as compressed air! .

Anyone tried these puncture proof tyres ?

The Tannus tyres have exactly the same failing that all previous solid tyres have had, a single piece construction. Conventional tyre carcases are designed to have good lateral stiffness with much better vertical compliance, thus combining comfort with lateral stability when cornering. A one...

    German e-bike market success

In fact Germany was first with consumer hub motors, Heinzmann first on the market in 1922 and still making them now of course. Dutch electrical giant Philips also had a hub motor ready for the market in 1922 but didn't launch it. In England we had our own first though with crank motor e-bikes...

    Update on N.I. e-bike regs.

Long ago Ted I found that it's waste of time ever writing to government to protest a status quo. Their civil service response is always the same. It commences by sympathising, then goes on at length to state in essence that the status quo is government policy and therefore will not be...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

My defence of Corbyn is based on the obvious fact that he is a decent man being targeted with all manner of gross lies and distortions on an "anything will do" basis. He is a true socialist who, like so many on both sides of the political divide, when young had much stronger political...

    German e-bike market success

He did try repeatedly to produce e-bike motors and an e-bike, all three useless like almost everything he ever produced. They were the Zeta 1 friction drive on tyre front motor, the Zeta 2 being almost the same thing but mounted on the back wheel and just as useless, and the failed Zike e-bike. .

    Brexit, for once some facts.

I don't mind if they are, I almost typed the words "much to Tom's distress" after saying how I would vote on May 3rd, but decided not to be provocative. In voting Zlatan, I take a fair and balanced view, just as I do on all issues. I detest bigotry and it has no part in my makeup. .

How strange then that I have voted Conservative more times than I've voted Labour in my long life. Makes me a rather weird Trotskyite, especially since I'll be voting Conservative on May 3rd. What I've done in my posts about Putin, Tito and dictators in general is point out the positives in...

Since I've already twice posted that and you have acknowledged those posts, why should I repeat myself? But I will try once again repeating what I posted to make it clear: Jeremy Corbyn is likely to win, not because of his policies, but by default due to the increasing failures of the Tories...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

A lighthearted political moment for a change: BBC newsperson Martha Kearney announcing her departure from "The World at One" recalled her favourite moment. When interviewing a Thai politician via his mobile phone the line was breaking up, so she asked if he could go outdoors so they could try...
