    Where Do You Live V2.0

You're in now. For personal security reasons we only use the first part of the postcode, not the whole code showing exactly where you live, so I've placed you on nearby Williamfield Way. Map Link .

EBMA files an anti dumping complaint on chinese e-bikes.

Indeed, but I was well aware of how few manufacturers there are from my former connections in the supply chain. The big Italian makers have long been into own brand manufacturing, and I'd be surprised if Turkey's Beko didn't do that too, given their low costs. .

    Brexit, for once some facts.

You know as well as I do that is impractical for a politician. The public are often bigots, and no more so than in the respect of politicians. Admitting to soft porn, if there was any, would damage both him and his party, and why should he when he'd done nothing wrong and it would have been a...

Sounds like you know more about the background, as I do Zlatan. My knowledge indicates the police were certainly not the villains and would have prevented it ever happening if they'd been listened to years before. .

I knew that it was a rack battery, but as said, why not get it recelled which would solve your problem at a competitive cost. Large numbers of us do that and I used to recell myself on one e-bike model, for myself and others. The fundamental problem with e-bikes is that it's a very young...

Yes but hardly the same thing. Here we are dealing with a possibility of ths presence of prornography, which even if present was adult soft porn as the ex officer acknowledged, and therefore in no way improper, let alone illegal. And if present, it was on a private computer which the officer...

But there was no wrong, even that ex police officer acknowledged that. .

Thanks for the clarification, I agree that this has been a big problem and I advise others not to buy e-bikes with frame integrated batteries for that reason. Your best solution is probably recelling, which with cell advances may well give you the extra capacity you want. The link given above...

All true Tom, but not in any way justifying a character assassination of Damian Green based on an unlawful statement by an ex police officer who has grounds for disaffection based on his own previous unlawful conduct. Green has done nothing unlawful and there is no proof that he has even done...

Today my Helmet has saved me a Headache

In saying it only happens to other people I was teasing of course, though for me it's proved to be true lifelong. It does seem that some are accident prone, while others like myself are completely the opposite. When someone posts in here, as sometimes happens, about their three or more times...

Sarcasm? One's personal experience is as good as any other's whether it relates to Indesit or Miele. Mine doesn't indicate the presence of built in obsolescence. .

Proof once again that these things happen to other people. :) .

Yes it's a sad fact that batteries die with age, whether used or not, and your four years is a good life. Even the hugely expensive e-car batteries have time based warranties, not mileage based. All part of the cost of running electric instead of fossil fuel. .

Others can last if treated well. I had a bottom of the range Indesit washing machine that lasted me 27 years, and even then I only replaced it because I couldn't be bothered to replace a pump hose which was still available, so decided to treat myself to a new one. During that 27 years I only...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

No we don't know any of that, we only know that is what the ex police officer says. That is not evidence, especially when the officer is breaking the law by the disclosure accusation. He was formerly one of the group who illegally breached parliamentary privilege and illegally accessed the...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

There is no evidence whatsoever of anything wrong and you are very much in the wrong for inferring otherwise. There is only innuendo and false accusations such as the pretence by some that it was a parliamentary computer and accusations without any evidence that he was accessing pornography...

I've already indicated that. The line is drawn at private legal behaviour, underlined by the courts, and that applies to everyone, whether in public life or not. .

I don't agree, batteries are expensive. If good quality ones could be sold much more cheaply some companies would be doing that and stealing all the business. Just look at the prices of e-cars and their batteries. We have a choice, pay dearly to be environmental with e-bikes and e-cars, or...

Not so, and I'm pleased to note from current news that almost all very senior police officers agree with me that the ex officer was completely wrong to disclose this personal information, wrong in terms of his duty, privacy legislation and morally. He should be publically condemned and warned...

New Legal Speed Limit: What should it be?

I had to look up Melanie Sykes, never heard of her. Apparently she appeared on daytime TV and other TV I'd never have seen. .
