It sounds like one of two issues to me; LCD reading lvc from the battery/controller or a torque sensor /calibration issue. Does the manual suggest if you can try a system reset ?

With better rated cells giving 10,15 or 20a + and higher capacity you should get better longevity as the cells will be less stressed and keep cooler. The problem is you can't have your cake and eat it, the top cells will give top amps when you need it but at the expense of capacity/range...

The controller will fry if continual use of too high a gear is used, the drive doesn't operate well when laboured so keep it spinning the faster the better. On my BBS01 I have a 42 blekkie and a 42 low gear. The first sign of a major issue on my one was a surge in power (excess amps) by the way...

It might depend on whether you are using it for a tubeless or tubes and possibly the brand of gunk. In my view some are a gimmick that just make a mess if they don't work and waste your money.

Yes SD is the S.Downs a lovely little playground for general riding or mtb for more adventurous, a bit claggy when very wet. Fantastic in the summer.
