For hydraulic operation you have to dismantle the brake fitting and glue the sensor/magnet to your brake lever in a way to actuate it. Or for a £1 or so get a reed switch and wire it up and a magnet to sense opening and closing. You only need them if fitting the throttle in case of a malfunction.
