    Resources for self educating

Motor wise preferably a sensored geared hub, one with sine wave/torque control for a quieter and smoother experience. They come in 150/350/500 & 800w flavours. D/D motors are ok in flat areas and where you are likely to need less start/ stop other wise they aren't very efficient, for greater...

    202. Though 212 & 224 both work, default was 87 and there was a timing pickup lag.

    BMS Problem With ADAPTTO System

You don't say what voltage system is in use possibly 48v ? Also what is the voltage of the battery when fully charged ? The warning lights probably indicate that the cell bank/banks indicated are either not charged or will not charge and the voltage is at or below the lvc (low voltage cut off).

Gazelle Orange Comfort C8 HMI DA 49cm Electric Bike For Sale

Value as always is dependant on what some one thinks it is worth. 1600 might be a bit high for used bike you may have to re think and accept any offer to with in reason of 1200 +. As a guide bike value minus new battery cost and depreciation 1 yr 25%, 2 yr 35%. Then add battery residual value...

Broken Panda kit, can anybody advise?

Water ingress somewhere shorting the 5v line ? I've had it a couple of times but either had pas or the throttle still working. Sometimes after drying out the issue resolves it self other wise can be mare to sort out. Check any exposed connections for signs of pin greening/ copper oxidisation...

    Front wheel kit

Shengyi DGW 07 is a140mm hub so probably similar to 8FUN/Bafang SWX 02 probably a clone. I doubt if many or any have much experience with this brand. For 100kg then a torquey motor is a bpm for the front or a SWX 02, ideally a rpm wind of 201 -- 270rpm.

    About to purchase......

If the motor runs quiet and smooth on setting 0 then leave it at that, you can test on settings 1 -7 but will find the motor becomes rougher in sound as the phase timing changes. If not try other settings for a less noisy motor, in general 0 should be the default setting and is best for my Q128C...

    fork question

My Reba's 26" have a 1/18" straight steerer, although as with many forks you can get the tapered or straight. Just a case or reading the description carefully to buy the correct fork. If you have 1 1/8th straight tube then tapered will not fit. The detail is in the description as there are...

    New donor bike

Weight saving may be even greater, although I haven't weighed the bpm or Q128. The difference should be 1.3kg given the quoted weights and 2.3 kg for the Q100.

OH NO!! Brand New & Error 30

The hall wire connector for the controller to motor, as you have seen is gunked with silicone but this can stop a proper connection if the plug has dislodged a little. The controller hall sensors are imbedded in a grey rubber silicone along with the pcb they are attached to.

OH NO!! Brand New & Error 30

As has been said 30 is comms between controller and lcd. If all was ok when the harness was fitted before you shortened it, then I would also suspect that this is the main issue. Although brand new a check of the Julet connectors is a good idea to rule out a bent or misaligned pin at both...

    My first electric vehicle

Welcome to the forum, one problem ? We already have a Telford dave :p, luckily you have chosen a non similar alias :). Not good to leave ebikes out in the rain, ok to ride in it. Ideally a bike cover is a good idea, maybe a sturdy Oxford motorcycle one. Low voltage wired front and rear lights...

Sexual wrongdoings is a 2-way street.

Do gooder's not wanting to rock the boat. Some call it social harmony I call it b*****k's, common sense out the window. It is dumbing down western culture/tradition to appease foreigners feeling /faith so not to upset them.

    Front wheel kit

You haven't mentioned weight !!! If you are sub 85kg then a Q100H 260rpm hub is approx. 2 - 2.2kg and can materialise 19 mph @36v. At 48v 23/24 mph is about the mark so over volting is an option, though you need a nice kt controlle. A kt lcd enables you to make small setting changes.

    Front wheel kit

How far do you plan to ride on the touring bike, ideally you will want to keep the bike as light as possible ? Your weight will have a bearing on the hub to use and the hills to climb.

How best to deal with bad drivers?

Phone the companies (if applicable) and complain about their drivers menacing and harassing driving style, name and shame on forums /websites. Whilst at it ask how many of these lobotomised gibbons they employ :D.

Peoples thoughts on my (planned) first build?

The Q100H or C version is rated 350w, couple it with a 17a controller will give 595w max or 700w with a 20a controller @36v. At 48v stick to 17a (816w) or less other wise you will eventually strip the gears. Q128C 500w or H version 800w will both handle more watts. Q100 comes in 201,260 &...
