Too many options in my mind, but... any good?

E-bikes vary in how greedy they are so much depends on the model. You are the same weight as me and even the greediest e-bikes I've owned had no trouble in exceeding 12 miles range on a 36 volt 10 Ah battery. The shortest range was 15 miles in a quite hilly area. Most models with that size...

Carry a passenger on my bike

A pity that skirt guards like this one below have dropped almost completely out of use in the UK. One of those would have prevented that little girl's injury. Every bike used for carrying children on the back should have one:

Carry a passenger on my bike

Your discomfort was from being too close to the handlebars so the pedalling geometry and posture completely wrong. Small wheel folders are too short for that to be solved.

    First e-bike, Yamaha XPC - any hints/tips?

Yours is an old one then, I think most XPC's had NiMh batteries, NiCads on their earlier models like the PAS originally. They are good e-bikes and were well ahead of their time. It's hard to judge the noise without actually hearing it, but they weren't silent even when new. I've never taken...

New kalkhoff impulse endeavor 350 w.

If the pad fits into the groove on the transport device ( under 2.5mm thick ), the pad should be replaced.

Too many options in my mind, but... any good?

Indeed, each to their own no matter how complicated, as long as that makes them happy. It's when they start fretting about whether they are doing the best thing that I get concerned. That's not what e-biking is about.

Absolutely! I say buy, use and enjoy. When the time comes, replace. Formula for a happy tech life! .

    First e-bike, Yamaha XPC - any hints/tips?

The waterproofing of electrical parts on these Yamaha e-bikes was far better than most, but keeping it outside will still expose all the bicycle parts to the usual corrosion problems, so try to protect against that. You could use a bike cover to give protection from direct rain. Your battery...

    Is this your stolen Oxygen?

But still worth bringing it to attention as you've done John, since whoever originally stole an e-bike, a stolen one remains an inadvisable purchase.

Too many options in my mind, but... any good?

That's only if the battery BMS/charger combination pushed the battery to 42 volts. Those I've had only reach 41 volts full charge and from what I've seen in member's posts that is much more common than 42 volts. In other words the design is safe for the battery to be fully charged without...

    Is this your stolen Oxygen?

So as I predicted as a possibility in this post, he was buying to resell. I always thought that more likely, since those who steal are not usually so stupid as to openly advertise their loot.

Too many options in my mind, but... any good?

Obviously some sense is needed about when to recharge, it would be silly if to recharge after only a tenth of the capacity is used on a very short local trip. But it would be equally silly not to recharge after a third of the capacity is used and a subsequent ride might take the battery down to...

    Is this your stolen Oxygen?

I'm sure you all know that many of the items on ebay have been bought to resell to try to gain a bit of profit. So it could well have been stolen, but not necessarily by the present advertiser who could have bought it from Gumtree or another source. Being an ebay newbie, it could just be...

    You've seen a poor man's Porsche!

I'm doing it on PC, but there seems no consistency to these problems. The various posts about problems in the Site announcements, feedback, and support forum show how variably these problems affect members. Not to worry, I usually find a way around them when they crop up, but I am curious as...

    Panasonic motor

Have a look at the post below from last year Tillson, Martin was offering at very low prices. He may have nothing now, but he's definitely worth asking: Panasonic unit post by Martin@e-bikeshop

    You've seen a poor man's Porsche!

Just investigated further and this is what I found. If I take off this last section after the ebay item number of that very long Pedelecs link: &ipn=psmain&icep_vectorid=229508&kwid=902099&mtid=824&kw=lg It's that added last part that brings up the blank page. The first half in a browser does...

main stream media starting to get the point :)

Odd, it's just that last very long link that Pedelecs produces that doesn't work for me, it produces an ebay page that's blank. The original location link and the short link are both ok.

I'm afraid I'd got onto the lazy habit of blaming this site Willber, since it does do some funny things to links at times. This post is a good example.
