Brighten up the forum a little :)

Ok, I've given in and uploaded one! :)

How do I remove my Ezee Sprint battery please?

As d8veh says to release the lock, then use the lever under the saddle to release and tilt the saddle forward, then pull the battery up vertically to slide it off the rear holder frame.

Gear change on my new Oxygen

I've never had any trouble with the SRAM twistgrip changers which are Shimano compatible. My current one is in it's seventh year now and I'm not gentle with it, so that is another option if trouble re-occurs.

15 miles sounds ridiculously low for the 37 volt 16Ah (592Wh) battery that the Wisper Classic has. If it's very hilly in your area you will need to give some pedal assistance anyway, and the range you get will depend as much on the amount you help by pedalling as well as the terrain and your...

    Cheaper bike

The current Kalkhoff Impulse systems also minimise the power transmission ill-effects during gear changes, claimed to be with minimal loss of drive due to the very short period of it's function.

    Britons first TDF stage winner

Not just a historic champs need either, after recent events I'm sure both Mark Cavendish and Chris Froome could benefit from an e-bike currently. :)

As you say, just like elsewhere. It's hardly surprising though, central government hold local authority funds under a stranglehold of continuous reductions. When NCP turn up and show them how to get more money yet do less, who could resist, my Croydon council certainly couldn't. The blame...

    Pro Connect (2008)

I'm not too surprised Julian. Despite the one negative I noted earlier, there are three positives. Kalkhoff are a widely respected marque, the original Pro Connect was a popular model and a bit of a classic now, and the first of the second generation Panasonic units that it uses has power...

    Moveyourlife UMB-3?

No experience of the bike or company, but two things concern me. One you've raised is the restrictive battery housing, possible limiting future battery choice. The other is that the controller and wiring is directly in the path of spray from the inadequately mudguarded front wheel, very much a...

    E-mopeds,e-scooters,legality?

That's a good guide John, but they haven't included the "Low Powered Moped Class", probably because they've never knowingly come across any of these up to 1000 watt pedal assisted machines. We'll have to do some more learning once the EU classifications are accepted, there being various L1...

    E-mopeds,e-scooters,legality?

One thing that helps to cause confusion for the police and others is the existence of the "Low Powered Moped" class. This is for pedal assisted two wheelers up to 1000 watts but still limited to an assist speed of 15mph. That class should be registered and plated of course, but one can see the...

I've never lived there, but I like the fact that it dares to be different in so many ways and pulls that off successfully. That combination isn't common.

    Pro Connect (2008)

Either of the above ways works, but best to try the bike first and decide which then, since changing the motor sprocket changes the cadence (pedal rotation speed). If you like the cadence as it is, change the gear hub sprocket. If you prefer to pedal faster, change the motor sprocket.

    Pro Connect (2008)

Yes, just changing the rear sprocket for a smaller one will increase it's assist speed. The Pro Connect at that time had a 22 tooth sprocket and that can be reduced to as low as a 16 tooth one. The latter will give a just over 20 mph assist limit, though the power phases down well before that...

    E-mopeds,e-scooters,legality?

No, the Sinclair C5 is road legal as it stands, cleared by the government of the day. It's an e-trike, 12 mph assist limit, 250 watts, lower than 60 kilos weight, all complying with UK e-bike law for e-trikes at that time. .

    Milton Keynes

Thanks to CycleZee, the UK's eZee electric bike agent being based there, Milton Keynes gets quite few mentions in this forum. I've just listened to an interesting program by Deborah Meaden of Dragon's Den fame on BBC Radio 4: "Doing it the Milton Keynes Way" in which, after seemingly...

Yes Pat: Have a look at the Woosh e-bike step-throughs on this link And the eZee Sprint Primo step-through on this link And the Juicybike Classic stepthrough on this link The Woosh Big Bear is the best budget price high power option if you have steep hills to contend with.

Possibly the most hideous electric bike...ever!

I don't understand all the criticisms of the OP e-bike. It's a whole lot neater than a Powabyke Euro or their earlier similar models. Try washing both a Euro with all it's untidy tube framework around the battery casing and this e-bike, and you'll soon find you prefer this one. As for the...
