    Another Ebike conversion kit death

Yep, thats the type. There is a simular one that has 30000mAhr printed in big letters on the battery. I guess its a printing error though, and the m ought to be a u, 30000uAhr looks a more likely capacity.

    Another Ebike conversion kit death

Not a fixie, a 2 speed, but no mudguards or rear rack, so the same features as the 7.45Kg T-Line but with 2 gears and at around half the price. However, so popular is the Brompton that there are mods for just about everything and someone does make a 3 speed rear cog set that will fit on my...

Won't be long before they're doing this to off road e-bikes too

Ah, your from Glocester way, relief. I was planning a walk at the end of the week, and there could be a bit of canal towpath envolved. Having to accept that eBikes doing 60mph on a canal towpath is tolerated, is enough to put me off. But fortunatly, the canal towpath where I may be walking...

Won't be long before they're doing this to off road e-bikes too

I would suggest that if anyone was walking along a (narrow) canal towpath and they were met by eBikes doing 60mph, they would be 'interested'

Won't be long before they're doing this to off road e-bikes too

More likley the large amounts of damage these riders of off road bikes are causing to footpaths etc. It seems to me the more they manage to cut up and destroy the countryside the more they enjoy it.

    Another Ebike conversion kit death

12 to 15 miles would be good enough for a lot of the stuff I do, mainly shopping on a lightweight Brompton, mostly within 4-5 miles. Could have bigger 2P batteries for longer stuff. The non-converted Brompton weighs around 8.4Kg.

Help! My e-bike kit has been infringed, what should I do?

Cannot see how a forum of volunteers can be of much assitance.

I dont recall what valves were on my original Brompton, but this is a picture of the Wheel on the latest Brompton, the T-Line. Presta ? And possibly a Tubolito tube ?

    ebike for hills.

Get disk brakes if you can, they are normally better and can be less maintenance overall, hydraulics are OK, not sure I liked the cable drived disks I tried. However the cable driven rim brakes on my 16" Wheel Brompton are perfectly adequate on the road and many many thousands of Brompton...

    Another Ebike conversion kit death

In one of those idle moments, I was wondering if a 10S1P battery would be a possibility for a real light eBike. So I put 36V 10S1P into alliexpress, and heck its amazing the bargains to be had. You can get, for a mere £26.44, with free shipping, get an alleged 36V 30Ahr battery, what a...

Do you leave your display attached to your ebike, when leaving it locked in a public place?

What connector would you use ? If the connector fails with all the unplugging etc, the eBkie fails. Thats part of the reason I stopped using the LCD3, pretty and inviting it might be, but its vunerable in the middle of the handlebars, take a fall and if it gets damaged the eBike wont work no...

    Fitted eBike Alarm Today

They are loud, and for the price not a bad buy. It wont stop your bike being nicked by a determined thief, but might deter an ad-hoc thief. And if your nearby, in a shop for instance then you could well hear it and you might have time to get there before the diamond cutter has got therough...

    hidden throttle gas needed?

Indeed. If you have a throttle on display, you might get away with saying you 'did not realise'. But if you are found to have concealed a throttle, you would think prosecution would be automatic. And in the UK that could be points on your driving license.

Do you leave your display attached to your ebike, when leaving it locked in a public place?

I have seen the 'erratic' speed thing myself, it can suddenly display a much faster speed for a second or so. Maybe an inherrent bug ? You right about the volts thing it is there ................
