Morning all, have just purchased a second hand volt kensington for the Mrs. I would like to lower the handlebar stem, but not sure how. I was expecting an allen key, but looking down the stem it looks like a tool I'm not familiar with. Any ideas ?

I did approach two battery re-cellers. Just had a reply from ebikebatteries.co.uk and their quote for replacement cells is £400. Which is the same price as new battery but they can increase power to 13 AH + They are obviously more skilled than the first company I approached, but was hoping for...

I've had confirmation from the battery 'recelling' folk that they can't recell any of the Halfords type batteries, so I guess that makes the decision a lot clearer.

I have a Carrera Vulcan E bike from 2018. I've noticed recently the battery isn't lasting as half as long as it used to, so obviously it's on it's way out ! Looking at a replacement Halfords want £385 which I find shocking ? It's not even showing in stock. Any one know if these batteries can be...

I got a new hangar anyway as it was slight bent compared to a new one. However the problem is still there, though not as bad. What is the drop out, the actual frame ?

Thanks for the tips. Think I've sussed out what the problem is. Looking at this pic i'd say the hanger is bent. Would you agree ?

I've since installed the new bearings, but still I'm having a problems with chain slack which is more noticable when i'm in the 9th gear (small cog on rear casette), but not as bad with in 1st gear (large cog on cassette). Could this be looking like a derailleur problem ? I've upload this bit...

Thanks for the advice chaps. In my head I was expecting new bearings to be like 'fidget spinners', but there is little movement but tight as you say. Fortunately I've purchased SFK's so that sounds like a good move. Will fit the 2x 60012RSH and see how I get on.

Just ordered some new bearings for my freehub on a Carrera Vulan E bike. I've not ordered new bearings before so don't what to expect interms how free they should feel, spin etc, but I've ordered two sets so far and they both feel considerably stiffer than my originals that I need to replace...

Got the bearings out (easier than I was expecting). Any reccomendation on the bearing replacements or it is trial an error ? Don't mind spending a few quid for longevity. I've got around 800 miles out of this set. Was looking at these...

Hi, there seems to be a rubber seal/ring (before the bearings) at the front. Does this need to be removed first ? Some of the others pics in this post also show a circlip, I wonder if that's sitting behind this rubber seal ?

Many thanks for the info. Yes the three prawls depress ok and seem functional. Sticking my finger in the hub, it does feel a bit notchy in places. I'll get a new one and play with rebuilding this one as a spare. Thanks again for the help.

Thanks for your replies folks. I tend to agree they've probably fitted the wrong sensor. It was the only sensor they had I later found out. To fit it and not even test it is a joke. Unfortunately I didn't the orginal parts back. Thinking now I should have had a go at soldering and splicing...
