1000W 48V Hub Conversion Kit

I know this is an old post but I thought i would share a picture of my 2.5 year old LiFePo4 48v 12amp battery repaired abused and pushed to destruction by my 1000w DD Ebay motor kit.

No fires or venting from the pouches has ever happened with these cells, just as well as i use a backpack.
These cells are rated as a 2c (24amp) max discharge they were being pushed to nearly 4c (40amp+) by this motor kit. but still lasted 1.5 years with this setup.

Wow incredible and reassuring to read this. And here was me worried about a little scratch on mine the other week ;-) It seems they can take a fair bit of rough handling then.

Looks good price will increase when you add a charger and postage, possibly in port tax, vat, handling charges etc.
2p16s would be 32 10 amp cells rated at 20c

They have the wrong description the pack is made from 16 X Headway 40160S cells These are 16AH 10C cells BMS 100Amps continues WOW WOW with a good motor and controller 40 MPH

How do Headway compare with A123 and Ping now. ES seemed to have quite a down on Headway, but I'm not sure if that was the cells or the supplier.

That is a good price
A 48V Battery will not push a hub motor much beyond the 30mph mark with a 700cc wheel without some modificationsImageShack Album - 14 images, high amps wound get you there fast, as a rule volt=speed amp=toque.
