I finally managed to try my 2WD Rocky Mountain in the snow today. I've been ill, so missed most of the fun, but now I'm well enough to do short distances.
I took the bike down and up our 14% (measured) test hill. The snow is just starting to thaw, so a bit slushy and very slippery. I came up the hill slowly without pedalling. The front wheel slipped and span a few times, but the bike felt quite safe and controllable. I had my feet up all the time. It was quite scary going down because there wasn't any way to slow down.
