2nd Agattu

I've just taken the plunge and ordered a 2nd Agattu from 50cycles, this time with a diamond frame:eek:

Before doing this I contacted Hilderthorpe Cycles to enquire about a diamond frame Raleigh Leicester e, but was told they would only importing the wave/stepthru frame for the time being.
Also Hilderthorpe are only offering a 1 year warranty in contrast to 2 years on an Agattu from 50cycles, so at the end of the day the decision was a 'no brainer'.

The other reason I was prompted to do it now is the continual increase in the value of the Euro relative to Sterling which will probaly lead to higher prices.

As these are still to arrive John, any chance they might ask for an additional pump from source for you? Worth a try.

My first Agattu has the wave frame and in the 2 months I have owned it, it has been faultless apart from the first 300 yards after which the left pedal fell off:eek: I collected this one fully assembled and after it had been given a PDI by 50cycles. Next time, I will check eveything is tight myself before venturing out.
No pump was supplied until I asked for one.
See http://www.pedelecs.co.uk/forum/electric-bicycles/1432-agattu-tyre-inflating.html
The bell is mickey mouse and useless if wearing gloves, but I have fitted an Airzound horn.
Otherwise the bike is everything taht Flecc and AtoB have said about it.

When I get this one I will have 3 bikes, but have owned several over the last 6 months.

Good idea to ask for a pump that fits. Like you I prefer schrader valves, but don't want to start changing tubes and drilling out wheel rims on a new bike.

nice1 aldby. much better than collecting cars. once into bikes they do kind of accumulate. horses for courses, a bike for varying occassions and all that.
what made you go for a 2nd agattu instead of a pro connect?

Two reasons Joe, comfort and price. I, not being a purist, prefer to bounce in and out of potholes etc. with suspension, rather than crashing into them and breaking something without suspension, be that the bike or me:eek:
The Pro-Connect is not for me, I can't see the point in paying more for less. To me it is a bit like the Emperor's new clothes:rolleyes:

You don't have to drill out the wheel rims - the woods valve has the same diameter as a standard schraeder valve. Schraeder valve inner tubes fit in easily when you come to replace the Woods ones.
