Age 39, very unfit, very overweight, lacking some motivation, I bought a wisper 905se. This was about 3 years ago. I was huge, needed to lose some weight and increase my fitness. This bike was amazing, it let me feel some form of activity that was fun and addictive. I started losing some weight, my fitness came back.
I then took a huge step a year on, I sold my electric bike to give someone else the motivation and enjoyment. I then purchased a regular road bike with no electrics attached.
This took me to the next level and I am now over 3 stone lighter. I cycle 30 miles non assist per day with some huge hills. I now have a pulse rate of around 55 bpm rested. Pretty good for a 42 year old.
If it wasn't for the pedelec I'd never have lost weight, cycled miles and miles or been able to cycle without a battery... if only for the short term as a stepping stone I'd say buy one for anyone considering fitness gain and weight loss.
I miss my old wisper... it was sad to see her go... but she did me well!
