Has anyone changed from a 48v battery to a 52v one on a BBS02?

I'd like to hear anyone's opinion on any performance increase and whether it's worth making the switch.

I once tried a BBS02 0n 14S Lipo and it got so hot I could smell the motor and that was on a slight incline so now I wont go over 12S to be safe.

It's only worth it if you need the extra speed and power. A 48V BBSHD is more than powerful enough for most. The difference is noticeable. You lose a bit of efficiency unless you have a very high cadence when running at 52V because it increases the cadence at which you get peak efficiency in proportion to the voltage. Obviously, that doesn't matter if you don't pedal.
