But it must surely be British or else why is Flecc knowledgeable about it.......

Sachs, shimano, sram or another German company?

The Bofeilli unit did make a lot of sense but unfortunately it needs more R & D, Bofeilli is typical of a number of the smaller chinese companies who see the possibilities, just don't have the money to properly develop it - we put a unit in a Kudos prototype and my supplier would not offer any warranty-that was 6 months ago maybe they have improved.

Could the cat be out of the bag? The new Kalkasonic drive system.

I just hope the Wisper Crank drive never comes to fruition.

Well I feel pretty confident that if wisper did enter the crank drive market, it would be better then the old fashioned clunker you ride...

well if you cant beat them (Bosch) copy them!

cant be this one surely Tony, or else why all the cloak and dagger you tease! lol
The cloak and dagger isn't about the Kalhoff motor, but while on the subject, Kalkhoff don't copy, they innovate and lead the market. First with the new Panasonic unit with a high power mode, first with all it's power increases, first with alternative very high capacity batteries, first with the new Panasonic front motor which is to be an electronic full power brake.

And I know of a situation where the Bosch is to be dropped in favour of something better, so nothing like the Panasonic's market staying power.

That sounds like an advertisement Tony! Well it looks very similar to the Bosch unit to me, and high power battery getting mixed reviews. (I am happy with the 8Ah battery on my bike) So lets wait and see how innovative new system really is, if they improve on bosch it should really be something

At least there is a chance with Kalkhoff, of bikes being available here...but unlikely in 2012 would you think? as they have clearly adopted Bosch into their high power range. That the standard Bosch drive stands beside their S class bikes should surely tell you something.

But I am begining to wonder about this as pics on site clearly have a number plate bracket on bike so maybe they are 350 watt after all

this is odd though as no chatter re this on german forum.....

That will be some bike!

How dare you speak of my wife in this way. I demand that you withdraw the remark.

Let's just say that there are surprises on the way. As for 2012, those who are usually first don't normally make anyone wait!

that is as well and good but how long will I have to wait for a step through bike for the wife?

I am looking for a condenser boiler for new house and guess what, Bosch way out ahead in reviews! (and not on German forum either) You were certainly right, world domination seems to be the game......

it seems I was wrong! (I know... I know.... hard to believe.....) there is a 45 kph high speed 350 watt Bosch model being unveiled at German show this week. Battery stays the same 8Ah model (probably because it is so good) these are some of the bikes that Kalkhoff have introduced.
