Me too! Shy and a bit timid too at school in my early years, I could have been forgiven for thinking I was Chinese, being addressed by the yell of "Oy you" so often.

All mean Arrowsmith, leading me to teasingly remark at times that I come from a long line of arms dealers!

*Possibly what gave rise to the name Norman Fletcher in the TV program "Porridge".

I have wondered if it is Fleck or Flech and now I know. My Sister in Law is a Comincini, pronounced Cominchini, so there was a clue for me.

The self-deprecation of flecc amuses me too. A Flecchia is an arrowsmith, but a fleck is a tiny insignificant little speck!

I was trying to be flashy and get the actual signature below into the signature, but there doesn't seem to be any way to put images in there (unless someone knows better).

My forum nickname, which I tend to use for most online purposes, dates from school days about 50 years ago, and like flecc, I almost regard it as an alternative first name.
