People often ask on here which is the best bike to buy. The truth is that the best bike to buy is the one that suits you best. Why not come and try a variety of bikes? We have just opened 2 shops 1 in Kidderminster west midlands and one in Presteigne Powys. We have over 12 differnet bikes to try including Powabyke,Wisper,Monark,Gazelle,Urban Mover and Ezee. We are based near quite roads and people are welcome to take different bikes on "proper" test rides.

Hi Andy,

This is excellent news, not least (from a selfish perspective) because you are pretty close to me in Shrewsbury.

May I add you to the Dealers, Suppliers and Repairers Map?

Good luck with the business. You might also want to add a signature to your posts to explain who you are just in case people worry that your vested interest might skew any advice you may give.:)

On the subject of new bikes, Urban Mover's 2009 range has gone 36 volts, had a go on one last week and the torque on them was so much better than the 26v ones of 07/08, you could easily pull away at speed on the flat in 6th gear.

No throttle though :( I rely on my throttle almost a little too much, I often use it to regulate how much motor power I have going up the many hills where I live so I can extend the battery time longer than if I just used the pedelec sensor. And it's really nice to use when you have to walk up hills, make the bike push itself.

Sounds great........are you going to have a kalkhoff? I am still undecided, having ruled the wisper out I am nearer, swaying towards a Kalkhoff.

The Monark also uses the Panasonic unit oldseal.

Please do add us to the map Django. Thank you for your good wishes. We do have Monark and Gazelle with the Panasonic system to try. We also have Heinzmann and Bionx systems to try! We do have plenty of quiet roads and hills to try them on.

I tried the link last night and again now. Each time I get 'Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage'. :(

No problem getting other links to work to other webpages, though.

Well, that's a first - a web page which works perfectly in Firefox (Windows or Linux!) but not in IE. Traditionally it was always the other way round.

I'm taking your word for it about IE, Rose, because I haven't bothered to check. I just never use it.

PS Out of curiosity, I just did - and it works for me.......

Works in my Firefox and IE ok. I see wotwozere had his locking on the tebs cookie and not opening the page, so it may be the Privacy settings in IE.

Try Tools menu, Internet Options, Privacy tab. Try slider at three marks up if it's set higher at the moment.

Strange - I just tried clicking the link again, before trying the Privacy tab, and it worked straight away.

Very pleased to see a place doing such a selection of electric bikes, that can be tried out, so close to where I live (Bromsgrove). So if I have any problems I guess I can get them sorted out there. :)

I've seen similar problems with new websites that have been down to DNS servers and proxy servers being out of date, Orange seems to be a big offender.
Usually I would recommend trying the IP address but UK2 | Domain Names, Web Hosting, E-commerce and Dedicated Servers goes to a UK2 holding page which is poor and indicates the problems may be to do with UK2. They seem not to be held in high regard by people who use web hosting professionally.
I suspect the problems will sort themselves out eventually but for some reason this can sometimes take weeks unless the ISP customers ring up and complain they can't see a certain website.
None of this is comforting when you have paid money and trying to launch a business.

Django - I just looked at that link but it seems to be a map of individual owners -is there a separate map for dealers and repairers? If there's anyone that could attempt a repair at an Ezee Torq locally, I have a friend in Bishops Castle who has a dead one that she's very upset about.

dunno if this happens for anyone else but clicking on that map initially shows it in the middle of the Indian Ocean centred around South / SE Asia.... maybe the settings have drifted...

Thanks - I've bookmarked that link now. I've a feeling someone told me the Easy Rider shop in Shrewsbury had closed. I'll have a look next time I'm passing.
