I've read around the forum a bit to try and discover if anyone uses towbar bike carriers that can also pull a trailer simultaneous. Can't find any reference to such an item, so, is it correct to assume that the ones that are available would be unsuited to heavy battery bikes?

I'd appreciate the benefit of anyones practical insight on this, because I'm considering a towbar on the Doblo, and I would like to pull a small trailer (for the camping stuff), and to be able to take the bike along as well.

Thule/Westphalia and and a Italian one who's names escapes me...

Thule do a big range, but some carry only 30 kg. OK for one bike. but they do 45-50 kg ones as well

Hi cogs We use the Thule Europower 916 for our ebikes. Takes both bikes with batteries, panniers etc no problem.
Very strong carrier and the bikes are locked onto it as well. The carrier locks onto the towball which is great but no good for towing the caravan at the same time. Bikes go in the van when towing. Hurricane
