what make is your alarm ?
It's a Ducharme, designed by Pierre Ducharme in Canada. The mounting components are very poor and weak plastic items and I had to scrap them and mount the alarm with self tappers into the handlebar stem. The trouble with that arrangement is changing the battery every three months, or more often in cold weather.

To replace the battery there's four minute screws that hold the two halves of the alarm body together and it's fiddly removing and replacing those with a watchmakers screwdriver while the alarm is attached to the bike by internal self-tappers. When the battery runs low the coding that's been set is lost and it reverts to the default code which can be embarrassing if that isn't remembered after three months since the alarm goes off and cannot be stopped.

It's sufficiently inconvenient for me to not bother with the alarm most of the time, just using known safer parking places, and I'm mentioning all this so you won't be disappointed. If you do want to go ahead, here's the link:
