Very good.

I don't understand how a company can run out of the product that it sells, in this case water, yet still charge its customers for supplying something that is out of stock. And then, if that isn't bad enough, the management award themselves up to £2 million in bonuses for doing a good job and serving us well.

I believe that a crime is taking place under our very noses and those who protest or want to do something about it are branded a weirdos, disruptive and a nuisance.

Its rather sickening when those that can least afford it are seeing their wages cut, their pensions decimated and any saving they have ravaged by inflation, low interest rates and the biggest con of all, quantitive easing.

I can still use a hosepipe to wash my cars if I want too!

With a large bin under the standpipe and the tap on filling it, then the intake hose of my petrol two-stroke pump into it and I hose the car. Daft isn't it, the airspace between the tap and the bin makes it legal!

Luckily for the water suppliers though, laziness keeps my car washing to an absolute minimum.

I do believe you can still water the garden if you have a irrigation system or soaker hose, Does not matter to us lot up here we have a Kielder reservoir spare and my garden is exempt

Aye it seems a shame we have all the water thanks to the white elephant that is Kielder (never mind all the other reservoirs up here). Kielder certainly has a drop or two as reported here:
"Kielder Water is the largest man-made lake in northern Europe with a surface area of over 11 square kilometres and enough water to give everyone on the planet about seven gallons of water."

I must get up there and do a full circuit on my bike

Many thanks for that link Willin,

I really want to do some of those rides next time I am up in that neck of the woods (no pun intended), I have visited Kielder by car, but never with a bike:(

My roots are just over the border as my father was brought up in and around the Muckle Toon:confused:

Well guys....I have to just say....I did it 2 years ago !
AND it was on my Powacycle Windsor before I got the Tonaro and what a fantastic ride it was too.
Stayed at the campsite right at the far end, the north circuit was a lot rougher and I didnt have time to go the whole way, but the southside was really fantastic, and kept detouring off to visit the observatory etc.
Would recommend it to everyone, just as long as you get there before the bloody midges :(

Peaceful beautiful scenery, wildlife and great cycle tracks....what more do we want :D

Lynda :)

PS....next one to do it please try to sign up a ChargePoint :)

Right that's me convinced - and liberally dosing myself with "Skin So Soft" usually defeats them darn midges (well it works on the Scottish variety). It's only an hour or less drive up there so I'll wait for a fine day and have a toddle up.
