Hi folks,

Been looking on the forums for a while now, and lots of good information on here and you guys seem to know your stuff!

I'm torn between a couple of options for converting my 2011 Giant Revel 2 MTB. Bought locally for £60 with the intention of converting to electric.... I'm 5' 8 and 12 stone, used for recreational cycling / gravel paths and moderate hills while on the road, so distance from the battery pack is not a major factor. Handy with tools and like the idea of home building a bike.

I've had my eye on this rear kit, which has been posted before on here, and get a battery from the same place:

Both comes in at £430 - for a decent conversion kit? (in my head it is.....)

Second option is BMS Battery:

This was offered by BMS as an option after emailing them, which including shipping, comes in at £382.

Or the other option is to buy the Q128c which seems to rated highly on here and build a kit from that motor, so when i get a year in or so, i can always release some power that the motor has..... with the buy cheap, buy dear thing going on, so spend a little more and get a whole lot more.

To be quite honest, i didn't think i would be such a tough choice.... especially with the sine wave, square wave, amps watts, legal/not legal...... It's allot to take in  so i suppose i don't want to make the purchase and then regret buying a certain kit, as from what I've seen also they don't really hold there value on the second hand market.

Anyway, advice and opinions welcome ;-)
Cheers,
Steve

P.S - i should mention that once my son gets a spin on the converted bike, he will be saying "dad.... can you do mine as well" so if i get any kits from BMS i can double up the order to save on shipping costs.
