I think he makes them himself. It says "lipos" in the title, so i'm guessing two 5aH 12S packs in a bit of 4" drainpipe.

One thing's for sure, at 34mph with no pedalling you will:

1. Probably get pulled for riding an unregistered etc motorcycle.

2. Go for around 20 minutes tops before the 10Ah battery runs flat.................

It's adverts like this that are going to get the authorities looking at DIY ebikes, IMHO. Something we can all do without. The bike looks fairly discreet (apart from the big hub motor), so likely wouldn't attract too much attention, the problem might arise from the advert wording and if someone takes it at face value and believes they can ride like this with impunity.

Help me out. I read the advert several times, but can't see 10aH anywhere. Where does it say the battery capacity?

A very quick look at hobby king suggests you could fit 16ah at 44.4v in a package roughly 16" x 4" x 4" and that fuzzy picture looks bigger than that.

Great bit of detective work

Not ideal for 12s ... but close
It is still an impressive looking build and working out that battery system would have taken a lot of effort to come up with - just like d8veh's on the Rocky.

I can also understand his position of answering questions via telephone as it weedles out the time wasters like me:rolleyes:

I never said the bike has a 10ah battery: Merely commented that you'd probably be walking home if you have a 10ah battery feeding a 40a controller; so don't cast nasturtiums at me!
:D. Not guilty, only said you stated 10Ah in that post! :p

Or that he'd forgotten to mention it when writing the description:p :)

Mountainsport.
I think he deliberately left it out because it's only around 5aH. That battery box looks too small for any more than two 5aH 6S packs - which means 5aH at approx 48v (44.4v nominal).

I think it's clever how he's made the battery enclosure, but there's nothing special about the rest of the build. He's advertised a load of these bikes over recent months. Always the photos are a bit fuzzy, so it's not easy to see the quality of his builds, but I've seen the motor wires exiting upwards and I've never seen any torque arms.
