Little wonder anyone could get muddled!

There were some e-bikes from German makers including Kalkhoff using a Panasonic front hub motor but also having the excellent crank torque sensor and controller that their crank motor units had.

To implement that they had a smaller cast alloy crankcase with integral bottom bracket that had the same three point frame mounting so could be an alternative for existing crank motor models.

In the case of Kalkhoff, they had the choice of the Agattu C (crank motor unit) or Agattu F (front hub motor).
