AtoB Magazine Corrections

[Cyclezee]

For those of you that subscribe to AtoB magazine, I would just like to correct an article in issue 91, the latest edition.


On page 7 an article by the Mole states and I quote

"Remember Ezee? Once regarded as the fastest growing electric bike brand, it has effectively disappeared from the UK."

In actual fact this is incorrect, eZee is represented by Cyclezee in the UK and has far from disappeared.

I have spoken to David Henshaw regarding this, but as the article has gone to press there is little he can do about it now.

David has now been kind enough to list Cyclezee as the UK distributor for the brand, but when listing the eZee models in this section of the AtoB website Electric Bike Price Guide - Electric Bicycles, there are a number of inaccuracies which I have listed below:

• The eZee Forza EV does in fact have a rear hub motor, not front hub as stated
• Again, further down the list, the eZee Forza has a rear hub motor, not front.
• The Sprint GTS 8, Torq and Forza are 518Wh, not 504Wh.
• Again as above, the eZee Yuba el Mundo is 518Wh, not 504Wh

It would also appear that the pricing other information for other brands is incorrect, e.g. does the Storck Raddar really use a Bosch motor?
Some of this is no doubt due to the fact that AtoB have not been given the information by the manufacturers / suppliers.

No, the Storck Raddar uses a Swiss made direct drive hub motor which they've modified for their e-bike.

It's a pity that there are all these errors from A to B. Many months ago I notified the change of my websites URLs for amendments to their QuickLinks page, but that page still has the old links leading nowhere. Of course they now produce the Miniature Railway magazine as well.

VeloVision magazine and their recently added Electric Bike Magazine have been more accurate, but they have be missing publication dates by large margins. In both cases I think they are probably suffering from overload due to the additional publications being produced with largely unchanged resources.

In fairness to David, it is my understanding that he does not in fact update the AtoB website himself, and it could be that they do not have time to keep it up to date.

I'm sure that is it John, both David and Peter Eland at VeloVision probably have too much to cope with producing two magazines each. It must be tough for each of them being editor, travelling reporter, photographer, tester, writer and publisher of two different publications with limited other help.
