'Back on the road again'

The PB is, once again, an electric byke.

But it was not just the key barrel. In fact, I am not now even sure that it WAS the key barrel at all.

I had a lovely selection of melted wires down the bottom end of the battery casing too.

So in the end it had to go the 'repair people' for several feet of new stuff.

But what would cause it to overheat like that?

Usually a short circuit somewhere, wires chafing through their insulation and shorting to each other or the frame possibly.
