Hi All,

This may be a long shot but I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for repairing a colour DPC-14 (850c) display. It's only be used a dozen times or so and stopped displaying anything. I had set a password on it and can remember the correct key combinations to unlock it. All functions work (pedal assist, throttle, assist level) and USB port provides power so it looks like it is just the display that isn't showing anything. It sometimes flickers when I first try and switch it on. I've shone a torch at it to see if I can see any image if its just a backlight gone but it looks completely blank.

The unit looks pretty well sealed so not sure if I can take it to bits (or put it back together after!).

Thanks,
Simon.

Have one of those myself, do you get `Welcome` on start-up?

It wouldn`t be in that night mode? Have you tried holding various buttons down? Or re-seating the cable connectors?

Hi, no 'Welcome' comes up. It looks completely dead but is actually responding to input from the buttons - i.e I can enter the password and use the bike ok but just without any screen. Have unplugged it all and reconnected. Also held down plus and minus buttons to reset trip counter etc.
I strongly suspect it may be beyond repair unless there is some sort of known issue and fix (wonder if there is some sort of factory reset option?).
Thanks.

Just downloaded it, did look at it briefly before -there is a factory reset but may be difficult to navigate to as I can't see the screen. Might give it a go though. Thanks.

Hi I have a similar problem

my switch pad is no longer working properly (the on/off button works fine but the plus and minus buttons don’t work)... so I am stuck on the password screen without being able to ride the bicycle. Any idea on how to fix it? This issue started when the battery went down for the first time (I have just started to run the BaFang kit). I have already unplugged and plugged all the cables. When I turn the Display pressing (on/off + the plus buttons), a message “Voltage adjust Fail” appears.

Another comment. It doesn’t seem to be a bad function of the control pad: when I press plus and power together, I get the message “Voltage adjust failed”, when I press only power, it goes directly to the password screen without any message, so the plus button works although it is impossible to set the pin on the password screen
