Those prices seem rather high to me, but I don't know the quality of the cells they are using and I don't know what their labour costs are. However, I recently built myself a 26.4V 12Ah NiMH pack using cheap cells from the Aldi supermarket chain.

4Ah C-Cells. £0.995 each (e.g. a blister pack of 2 for £1.99)

My whole pack cost me less than £70

No good for refurbishing our NiMh bike batteries though, cell capacities far too low and the prices very high for 24 and 36 Volt low capacity.

And of course they can't refurbish the more common lithium types used now.

The individual cell prices look high but they may include the pack refurbishment cost, it's not clear which.
