I think I would rather have a LiFeP04 one from Kudos for a few pounds more.

Twice the cycle life :)

£208.80 over the one linked at £180.

.: Kudos Cycles - e-bikes with style :.

Its 36v and 10Ah AND LiFeP04

Have not seen that motor before. Its hard to know if these manufactures are linked/the same.

Hi Jerry, I think what Shemoszzle999 means is that the "frog" mounted battery from Kudos (9ah) is £237.60 but this will not include a charger - but I assume it includes the mounting frame part. You are refering to the rear carrier mounted 10ah battery for the Tourer.

Yes you are right and I stand corrected.

I would still prefer LiFeP04 though, given their larger cycle count. But as in all things its a compromise given they weigh a little more. It still think Kudos price for a LiFeP04 battery stocked and shipped in the UK, is excellent!

I may be interested in buying a 36v liFeP04 battery from Kudos. I need to know the dimensions of the actual packs inside the casing though. Also would I need a different charger as the one I have is for lithium polymer and outputs 42v?

It would certainly be a lot quicker and less hassle than ordering from China.

Has anyone actually bought one of the ebay offerings mentioned in the OP?
I'm after a spare/extra & it would be more convenient to purchase from UK timewise.

Well I have a reply from Scott at Kudos Cycles regarding their [DK031] Battery, 36V x 10AH LifePO4 & charger

Battery Details:
41cm Long (overall)
15cm Wide (overall)
7cm Height (overall)
Connection Type - Image Attached
Battery Charger:
Input: Ac100>240V 1.8A MAX 47>63Hz
Output: 42.0V 1.8A
It comes with a 2 year guarantee ;) cost £276.37 which seems to me to be a bloody good deal. The only problem for me is the connection seems to involve 4 outlets 2 pos & 2 neg whilst I only have 1 of each going to my controller so it needs a bit of further investigation

I got the same email. I don't know how large the cells are in the case, but going by the length given it would probably not fit in my battery case. The height and width are fine.

I was considering the Ping battery as well, the 36v10ah one is the only one that MIGHT fit. When I next open my battery case I will be able to take an internal measurement with callipers and find out for certain.

BMSbattery's 36v10ah NiCoMn is the only one I know that would definitely fit.
