Hi, I have a battery I bought from http://www.electricbikeconversions.co.uk/ but they`ve gone bust now, i`ll upload some photos of it, the ceramic fuse has blown its 3cm long,I took it to an auto place they said maybe try a 3cm 2amp fuse, but it if blows a 5amp, does this seem good advice? The markings on the fuse have been scorched off, if anyone has a better idea about which fuse to get please let me know,

regards,
Stu

the fuse is colour coded.
Show us a picture of the blown fuse, we should be able to tell.
There is a 20A fuse at the output, the input may or may not have a fuse.

It sounds like a discharge fuse try one rated 5a more then the controllers max rating.

If a fuse blows more then once then you need a higher rated one. 5a is too low for a discharge fuse, if your controller is say 15a rated max you need a 20a fuse to prevent it blowing to often.
